US vs. Canada tournaments on pokerstars

Do you guys see this on pokerstars? Its like summer games 08 or something. The qualifiers have some good money. Top 250 get 5 dollars and the top 50 get an entry to another event. Seems like a good deal to me. Whos in for the US?

im gunna play some qualifiers for the us.....we'll see how it goes sounds like a very cool thing though

I played in the Qualifier last night. I was also playing the Canadian freeroll at FT so i was not really focused on the PS qualifier.:joyman:

Poker Stars Summer Games

Round 1 qualifiers are running from August 22, and every Canadian and American player is eligible to play in one (1) free Round 1 qualifier each week. You can only play in the qualifier for your country, but can use each of your weekly event entries at any time during the qualifying period. Practice games for all events will run 24 hours a day, so get trained up and use your free entry to get a piece of the action. Remember you only get one free entry each week, so use it wisely.

Its located under tourney's then Regional, all I'm seeing right now tho is two Canadian Events for tonight at 8pm and 10 pm Est!

yeah ill give it a go. they actually maxed the field at 5000 so it might and its 5 minute blinds. im sure that will help some. gl to all

I'll be playing in the Limit Round 1 tonight for Canada. I hope we see lots of CCers on both sides of the Round 2 games.

I hope people remember this the next time a poster says that PS never does anything for US players.

Round 1 NLHE starts in 25 min for the Canadians, another one starts in 2hrs and 25min. I'm going to wait for the 10 pm one as we only have one entry per week, and I figure most Canadians will be sloshed by then.

Theres about 1100 already in this one. Remember that top 50 get seats and top 250 get 5$ ....yes its a Freeroll

Limit Poker + Freeroll + Turbo = approx 2 hands/blind level = giant crapshoot

Edit: I do like the fact that there are no antes in any of the blind levels.

Pah, it's easy. I played 3 pots--AK, KK, and QQ--and folded into the money. And that's the Canadian one. Imagine how easy the US ones will be. (gotta start the rivalry early )

Edit: Unfortunately, missed the round 2 seat.

its not too bad. typically crazy early, but its very doable. i sadly came up short, but got 5 bucks. i finished 199/2385. it certainly didnt help that before break they put the biggest card rack i have seen in a while 3 spots in front of me. but i have something to build on. next week, i can go for the R2. best of luck to everyone. ohh, on a side not, i havent played limit holdem, in over a year, live or online, so i was pretty pleased.
