Yesterday I thought I would open an account with unibet, I have quite a few but thought I would like a change.
I opened my account yesterday with no problem, but today I tried to deposit and got the message "account must be verified before you deposit" which seemed strange but ok, all sites are different.
I tried to verify my account but could not work out how to do it so I got on to live chat.
I gave the guy my details and he same back and said "their security department had permanently closed my account"????
He couldn't give me an explanation or reason why, so that was that.
I have been playing poker online since it started, must have had 40 or 50 different accounts with poker rooms and have NEVER had an account closed.
I am 67, retired, have lived in the same home all my life. I have never been in trouble with the Police. Have never been bankrupt or in serious money trouble.
I am completely puzzled as to why they should do that, out of interest I opened an account with Runitonce and opened an account with no trouble and deposited easily.
Oh well it is their lose, there are plenty of poker rooms to choose from but it is still annoying, makes me feel like a criminal. :(:(:confused:
What really annoys me is that they didnt have the decency to send me an email to tell me, I had to get in touch with them. Well done Unibet, great customer service, not. :(

No wonder that their livechat is quite useless - after all it's last place on earth where to look in case of any problems etc
Since cardchat dont have unibet staff here (yet) then if you've any unibet-related questions etc www.unibetcommunity.com is probably the best place to look for answers (if you tag moderators there) :hmmmm2:

What a lack of respect for the customer! It seems that they would give you something for free and not that you were paying. Worse for them.

@Colbefc like Risto said - unfortunately the live chat on Unibet is quite useless but on the Unibet community site(http://www.unibetcommunity.com/) there are quite a few Unibet employees that will push your case at the relevant departments and get your issues fixed relatively fast too... I just hope you can join their community without having an active Unibet account(IIRC my login details on Unibet community were set automatically the same as on my Unibet account); so if you really want to join Unibet you can try there too(or maybe ask a friend with an active Unibet account to make a post on Unibet community about your issue) as from your post I'm quite sure the Unibet guys there will manage to find a solution for this... hopefully you'll manage to join Unibet as it's a pretty good site to play on as there are soft games and quite a few interesting promotions- including 3 weekly CC freerolls :)

Had similar problem myself a few years ago think Unibet stopped service for awhile when the government wanted a licence fee from poker sites I think.
When tried to set up new account was closed as already had forgotten log in details for old account explained it to them politely that first account was lost and years old but not used that only wanted one account needed help please and access was restored after sending I.D.
Did well this year on Unibet +400 Euro withdrawn from CardsChat games well worth following up on try to get access restored Colbefc good luck.

The experiences I had with the unibet team were not very pleasant, I believe that it is not even a reliable platform to receive your earnings. I signed up at pokerstars precisely for transparency and security.
