Each time you join a Seven Deuce table, you pay into the side pot. You do not have to feed the pot again until someone wins with a 7-2. If you leave a table, you'll get your side pot money back.
Winning the pot

To win the side pot, just take down a pot with 7-2 at any point in a hand. You'll have to show everyone that you were holding 7-2, but it'll definitely be worth it.

Each day, we'll keep track of the number of hands won with 7-2 as hole cards in two separate stake levels:

* • Low Stakes ($0.10/$0.25 to $1/$2)
* • High Stakes ($2/$4 and above)

The top 10 players with the greatest number of winning 7-2 hands in each stake level will earn a piece of $27,500. Find out more about [old link~tb].

The 7-2 games started a couple days ago on [old link~tb]
I played at a $10NL FR table today to see what it was like.
When I sat at the $.05/$.10 table they immediately took $.15 from me, which created a $1.35 side pot. If I leave the table before the side pot is one I get my $.15 back. If someone wins the 7/2 side pot I automatically refill it with another $.15.

The game was wild! The dude on my left was 86/57. Dude across from me was 77/32. (I doubled up through each of them). I think I saw a grand total of *one* hand being won pre-flop, and it was a shover.
Winning with 7/2 would be really hard.

Here are some hands I thought were interesting:
Hand #1
Hand #2
Hand #3

I was initially skeptical but tried one last night and ended up doing better there than at any of the other tables I played. They do tend to attract loose and wild players.

Players were mostly making large raises with their 7-2 hands or shoving all in to try and take down the pot without showdown.

If you're using Holdem Manager you'll need to download the latest beta, as older versions don't work with the new 7-2 tables.

LoL @ getting aipf with 2/7 for that $1 sidepot. I'd try these tables if it wasn't on UB.

The game is just a few days old. From what I've seen, people are over-valuing the side pot and just not giving each other credit for hands.

I expect things to tighten up a bit though, as people start to learn that not everybody is trying to bluff with their 7/2.
