yup thats right you can spend a dime on ultimate bet and play the steps sit n gos n work your way up to a seat in the wsop...there are ten steps...that means ten different sit n gos which means you have to place in ten of them to continue for your dime...boy its made to sound cheap n easy...but who has won ten for ten in any series of tournaments?

How many players per table? Also just wondering do you have to make the same thing everytime to go to the next step or what? I mean say the first one pays top 3, the next also pays top 3 and so forth and so on, or does it eventually end up with a person having to win the whole thing?

The way it works is that the top two in Steps 1-9 get to go to the next level up, but on Step 10, it is only the winner that gets anything. Here is the website for more info...

Edit: I forgot to say, 3-6 places can win tickets to lower steps or small cashes depending on the level

I tried from step one and went up to three..several times..Then said shag that and began paying for step three..I think thats easier..just costs you a little more bankroll.

It costs you a lot more than that - if you don't start at step 1 and work your way through to step 10, using tickets that you win at each stage all the way, you don't win the WSOP entry!

You may be right chef. i was mainly just talking about the other steps, not step 10 as much. B ut the part i am not sure about is that everyone on step 10 goes to aruba. that just doesnt sound right to me. i dunno though

OK, I'm a total dork so I decided to try to calculate how many step 1 players they will need to get a winner. Firstly, my wife is asleep in the bedroom where my calculator is, so I did all this on paper so it's probably wrong. Secondly, I used the info in this thread so I assumed that step 10 would have 1 winner, but steps 1-9 would each have 2 winners. Also, remember that this will not be the total number of people who pay a dime as many will "win" tickets to previous rounds if they finish high, but not first or second. I also assumed 10-man tables for easy calculating sans calculator.

So, for step 10 you need 10 players. For step nine, 5 tables with 2 winners each means you need 50 players. I continued to work backwards from here and arrived at the number 3,903,125 Step 1 players will have to participate to fill that final step 10 table. This is probably incorrect, anyone got the right answer?

Thats not true. If you start at step 1 and work your way through step 10, you win WSOP as well as a trip to the Aruba classic (for the first 10 people only). I think 10 have already done this. IF you start at any other step, even buy in to step 10, and win, then you get a buy in to the main event plus two grand spending dough. IF you take second in the step 10 tourney, then you win $3500, third takes another entry to step 10.
Also, there is more than one step 10 table. Currently Im on step 6.

I've been playing these. Having fun with these and doing well so far. Have 1 step 4, 4 step 3, 2 step 2 tickets that I started from 11 step 1 buy-ins. Took a break from these this week and will start back up later this week. Good luck all and hope someone here wins a step 10.

I really like this program. I've advanced to Step 5, but have failed in two attempts to move beyond. I'll keep trying by jumping in at Step 3 as it is inexpensive to start there...

Ok, first of all, here is a link to the actual promotion, not just about how step tournies work: http://www.ultimatebet.com/poker-promotion/ten-cents-ten-steps

i heard if you do go 10 for 10 you get an Aurba poker trip as well. something like the frist 20 people to go 10 for 10 get the trip.

Read the link above, it's all there in plain terms.

It's the first 10 people to "conquer" steps 1-10. That doesn't mean make it to step 10, it means win it. So everyone that beats step 10 (meaning taking 1st place in step 10) will win the WSOP prize. In addition to that the first 10 to win step 10 also get the Aruba package. And for both of these, you must start with STEP 1.

It costs you a lot more than that - if you don't start at step 1 and work your way through to step 10, using tickets that you win at each stage all the way, you don't win the WSOP entry!
^^^^ this.

and this ^^^ is true.

IF you start at any other step, even buy in to step 10, and win, then you get a buy in to the main event plus two grand spending dough.
I don't see this anywhere. The eligibility rules specifically state that you must go from steps 1-10 to be eligible. Now it is true that in normal step tournies that you can buy in anywhere you like, but I'm talking about eligibility specifically for this WSOP step promotion you must start at Step 1.
