Ok here's the scenario about 2 years ago I was in a 2/4 ring game heads up this guy was pretty much a call station so I made a couple bucks off him so far but here's the problem.... I catch AA's and I'm not remember what the flop was but and A came up and he raised so i reraised, so far I had trip aces I had then on the river a board paired an 8 so I had aces over 8's I raise 400 thinking he was gonna call or put me all in. All of a sudden their software craps out on me and he reraised me all in I couldn't get back onto the site and he ends up winning what was in the pot!!
So I told UB about it and said they would look into it and they said they had to retrieve hand histories, no word for a couple months ask them again, they say it will take a couple weeks and have said this for 2 years straight! Seriously what should I do? They keep giving me the run around are they trying to rip me off or should I say screw it they stole 500-600 dollars off of me? I don't know if there's anything legal I can do about it is there?

I have noticed an increase in the number of suited cards I receive per game & the marked increase of the number of flushes per game at UB. I was discussing this with others at the same table...they agreed! I've never seen so many flushes except in a toilet! LOL!:D I'm not sure if it's just UB, but mathematically, it would be way off the charts! If others agree, please tell me! Thanks!:)

Nothing you can do now...

You had to be more active just after what happened...

Sorry to tell you, but there is no way you are getting your money back. If it was pokerstars, you might but even that would be a long shot. UB is not a good site by any means. Thats why they say that Hellmuth should sign with Fulltilt or Pokerstars.

Wasn't there and incident with UB where poker software was being used by the old owners to see and manipulate the cards were played? I also heard hellmuth was playing a guy and won a 50,000 dollar pot when he actually lost the hand, luckily that time the guy realized he had just been ripped and yanked up the replay so they had no choice but to give his money back....

...he reraised me all in I couldn't get back onto the site and he ends up winning what was in the pot!!

1) The problem was probably on your end. Either a screwy Internet connection or the software on your PC screwed up. In that case it's not their fault unless they specifically stated that the game has "all in protection" to protect from disconnects.
I get disconnected from various sites on various occasions. I remember getting disconnected with K/K two days in a row on Full Tilt, but I never considered it Full Tilt's fault.

2) The fold decreased the size of the pot, thereby decreasing the size of the rake, right? So it cost UB money too.

Yes. An account was able to see hole cards, so someone would watch games with that account and use that information to play via another account. Had that been going on there's no way the hand would have played this way.

As for the Hellmuth hand, UB investigated it and found a flaw in their software where if a guy disconnected at the very instant that the winner was determined it was counted as a fold and the pot was given to the other player.
UB admitted to the error and out of the hundreds of millions hands played there they found something like 6 instances of this error occurring. They fixed the bug and refunded the money to the people it effected.

Same thing happened to me on bodog. I had K's full though. They said I timed out...not disconnect. It didn't cost me that much. But i feel your pain. They told me there is nothing they can do for me.

Man that really sucks but knowing big poker corporations they have something in the fine print in the terms of service saying that they are not liable for any gambling online due to software glitches plus they can take your online earnings without warning and reason.

ultimate bet had a similar bug where phil hellmuth was pushed a giant all in pot that he didn't win....

the cards both popped up at showdown, and when the player saw he had won, decided to quit. but he closed the table before the pot was pushed to him, and all the observers at the table saw the hands flip up, then saw him leave, then saw the worst hand get pushed the pot.

i'm sure you can look it up and find more details. anyways, i think they sorted all that out, but when a figurehead of the site is getting the money he shouldn't get and observers were present that saw it all go down, that is a different situation than what you are in.

hard to get sympathy from players too because it really doesn't affect us... we all know the disconnect issues that exist. most sites give you more than enough time. i'm pretty sure this has happened to me before, but never in a big pot... sometimes like AA raise preflop and it craps out right then... might have even saved me money... but very very rarely, and i can't even remember the last time it's happened.

maybe try and deal with the united states sponsored players and spokesmen directly.
