Anyone seen this before? I've sent the e-mail to support and haven't heard anything back, so I asked my buddy Google about the error message and I was informed that it sounds like they've shut my account down for "suspicious activity."

I guess my suspicious activity was only playing in the Cardschat freerolls and never making a deposit :). I think I had about 7 dollars or something like that there. Oh well, unless a miracle happens it doesn't look like I'll make it back to Ultimate Bet.

I tried it from two different machines, then uninstalled and reinstalled on one of them, but the same error popped up. I've been playing the UB Freerolls for a month and a half or so.

Looks like I was right. Received a message from support just a few minutes ago:

Ultimate Bet Support said:
Dear <MY NAME>
Thank you very much for contacting us.

Your account has been related to an ongoing investigation; for this reason, you are currently unable to access your account.

In order to resolve this issue, we require validating your account information by sending UltimateBet the following documents to our toll free fax: 1-800-783-9366. Alternately, you may email us a scanned image to: Security@ultimatebet.com:

1. A clear photocopy of the front side of your driver’s license or Government issued ID.
2. Clear photocopies of a recent utility bill (to certify your address).

In case you have used a credit card at UltimateBet, please provide us with the following documentation as well:

1. Clear photocopies of the front and back of the credit/debit card(s) used on our site.
2. Scan Copy of the most recent Hard Copy of your Credit Card Statement.

For security reasons, we ask you to remove your Social Security Number from your driver’s license and the CV2 Code Number from the copy of the back side of your credit card. We do not need such sensitive information. We only need to confirm your personal and financial information to certify your UltimateBet account.

Please remember to include your name, player's nickname, or the email address registered in your user profile.

We do value you as a player at UltimateBet and hope to see resolution of this as soon as possible.

Please let us know if you require any assistance.

Best regards,

Rosina

'The Ultimate Poker Experience'

So I suppose it looks like you guys won't be seeing me over at Ultimate Bet any more. Too bad for me, I cashed in two of the 4 or 5 CC freerolls I played there. I guess everyone else should be happy - one less person to get by :). If they think I'm sending them my driver's license and utility bill, they must be crazy. I sent the following reply back to them.

MrSwissCheese; said:
I would be very interested in finding out WHY my account has been flagged. I am just learning poker and, for the most part all I have been doing is playing freerolls sponsored by CardsChat. Occasionally, I'll venture out to the cash tables, but perhaps you're teaching me a good lesson - I'm not ready for cash tables. I would like to think you encourage new players to come play, but I certainly don't have a problem playing at the other poker rooms that Cardschat offers freerolls in instead.

Given the fact that I'm new, I don't understand why I wouild need to give you my driver's license - and especially not a utility bill. I haven't deposited money, and now am extremely happy I haven't. Given all the troubles that Ultimate Bet is facing right now - a proven high stakes cheating scandal - I hate to think that you're going after a newbie with $7 in his account that he's won in freerolls.

If that's how you want to treat your new customers, so be it.

I'm sure that response will make them extremely happy and will prevent me from ever playing at Ultimate Bet again. Perhaps a company that "allegedly" let some of the former programmers use a backdoor to see other player's hole cards for some 3 years shouldn't deserve any business from me. I mean there has to be some reason why most (if not all) gaming commissions in the US won't let you play in the same casino you work in. I couldn't imagine allowing a programmer to playon the same poker software he helped develop. But, nope, you'll go after the lowly peon who has $7 to his name, not the crook that's ripping people off in High Stakes cash games. . . Nah, that would take too much of their rake away.

That's really sad but what could you have done that they would think to flag you?

However, the quite well worded response you gave them made me laugh. Who knows what is going on there now. Probably for the best that you are "banned" because there is no reason for playing there with all the scandal business

I actually received a response at 4:00 this morning letting me know that my account has officially been closed "because we need to certify your personal information."

Hmm. . . What could I have done that would flag me? I hadn't made a deposit - so there's no question on where those funds came from. I hadn't requested a withdrawl - The most I ever had was $7 in my account. The only thing that I had done there recenly was played over my limits trying to turn a quick buck. I sat down at a .25/.50 or .50/1 limit game. The cards had been really crappy, AK high to mid to high pairs were winning most of the hands, but people were playing them aggressively. If I recall correctly I ended up losing a good chunk of what I had left on trip 5s or 6s vs trip 9s (both were pocket pairs). Strangely enough, that's the way I end up going out of most of the freerolls - can't lay down a hand I should .

The only thing that I can think of is that I sat down at the wrong table and those guys are the ones that are being investigated, and I'm considered part of it because I "dumped" $5 into someone's account. Seems rather far fetched to me, but I guess they'll see what they want to see.

As far as the scandal goes - I agree, I think I'm much better off not having an account there, but I certainly wouldn't send them all that personal information. If I had a few hundred or thousand dollars, you bet I would send that information in. What's left in there isn't worth submitting all that information. I certainly wouldn't trust them with that information.

Someone has reported you for having 2 accounts on UB. True or not thats the reason for this. I would call the phone number and m,ake sure this isnt some kind of "fishing" email to gain your information.

Best of luck

Maybe its time for me to remove the $41.00 I have there, I have never deposited there and I've been playing the CC games there since they started a little while back.

The phone number they provided is a fax number to send the documents in. It's definately not a phishing e-mail because it is in reply to an e-mail that I sent them. The original e-mail stemmed from me not being able to log into Ultimate Bet for the freeroll last night.

If you know of another phone number for Ultimate Bet, I'd be happy to give them a call, but from what I've been able to dig up - they don't have phones at Ultimate Bet :D. They want everything done via e-mail.

Here is the number that I would call. (450)635-1139.

It's for the Kahnawake Gaming Commission which, if I'm not mistaken, own UB.

I dont know what the code means, but the request for a photo ID and Address confiramtion is standard, or at least thats the same thing that I was asked for from Jetset.

NOTE: I did provide the information, I did not have 2 accounts and my account was still susspended

Z--the only problem with wanting to withdraw that money you have there is 1) They require you to have made a deposit there--And 2) You have to have played in a certain amount of raked pots before they will allow you to withdraw ANYTHING! It's a kinda catch 22 situation!

You forgot the most important option transfering to a trusted friend, who will then transfer to you on another site where you do have withdraw options.:p

Careful, I already saw one thread where a player "dumped his chips" for just that reason and got the boot. Use caution

No I didn't mean chip dumping, I meant legit funds transfer via Ultimate Bets own player to player funds transfer feature.

I dont think transferring funds is as easy as that, If you go to my account then click on trasnfer funds it says:-

Minimum 5000 play chip per transfer.
A minimum of 1000 play chips is required to remain in
your account after play chip transfer.
Maximum 10000 play chip per transfer.
UltimatePoints are not transferable between accounts.
Only customers with preferred accounts are eligible to transfer real money.
[old link ~tb] how you can get a preferred account.

I seem to recall transferring funds to you at UB, Nick, so you must be set up. You wouldn't be able to receive a transfer if you couldn't send one too.

See what I mean even Tammys a member of the elite:rolleyes: one day if I wish really hard and be a good boy I might get in;)
After Katy's post I went to check, and it states that I do not have the minimum amount in my account, or I have not been authorised, to be able to use this function.

LOL.
You have answered your own question.
If you had not made a proper P2P transfer, then you were breaking the sites rules by chip dumping at the table.
