Hi everyone, following a significantly large jackpot win on party casino, i am strongly considering opening a live poker lounge in the south of England.

I am just doing all the ground work with regards to licencing etc (boring stuff), but i need to come up with a suitable name for the club.

Any suggestions?

Significantly large as in Millions?
When Dusk till Dawn opened in Birmingham it took over £3,000,000 to wrangle a gambling licence for a premises, as the casino's blocked it every step of the way. Eventually they got the licence granted for poker only, and originally just cash games. If your seriously looking into this, get some VERY good solicitors behind you. The casino's dont like losing business in any form, and I promise however large your win was, they still have more £££.
Good luck if this is a serious post, you will DEFINATELY need it. Google the Gutshot club and Dusk till Dawn, you'll get an idea of what steps to take.

As far as names, you can call it the kojak club, i'll take a 10% royalty. lmao.

There is a poker room in Bham (or is it nottingham??.....) Called from Dusk Till Dawn. Strictly a poker room, no other gambling. Opened in 2006 I think. Never been, I just remember reading about it in WPT mag when I used to subscribe. I'll try and dig the issue out.

Save your effort, Kev. It`s Nottingham.

Ha ha, my apologies. I was on auto pilot when I wrote that reply. How far between B-ham and Notts then? Only down the road right? lmao. Sorry again.

Hmmm, we didn't need to learn Geography in Bolton.....no-one ever leaves the town! lol.
Joking apart, I have a Nott's Forest fan as a best mate (for my sins!) and my ex went to uni in Birmingham, so I've a rough idea where they are!
Anyway...this is a fairly pointless thread imo. I think that more than a few people on here will have had pipe dreams of opening a card room at some point. neeeever happens. haha

I value your replies, I really do, however, I did pick up a significant win on Party Casino, and it is enough for licence fees, overheads, security, and still leaves money on the outset for backup. It maybe not milliopns, but there are only 2 casinos that do poker tournaments once a month where i am so there is not really any competition. The Poker Lounge will provide nothing other than poker not offered in casino's, therefore i am not cutting into their profits, and legalities will prove that. I AM serious, and i WILL have this up and running. I am based in Portsmouth and was thinking of POMPEY POKER, any better solutions will be wtrongly considered. There will be a VIP Lounge for more dedicated (or in the event of a pro) customers. Please, show interest and spread the word, within 12 months it WILL be open.
