Ok, people who play on pokerstars and are from the UK&ireland they currently have running at 7.30 GMT I think it is a storm satellite. Storm is the "new" sunday 1/4 million tournament..and at the minute they are doing these sattys every night.

It's $5.50 buy-in and win a ticket to the $10.00 buy-in storm tournament this weekend. I've "played" in one and won a ticket by basically just folding and sitting out, it's that easy..

Basically poker stars are offering 55 seats guaranteed and only 83 signed up last night and people still can't grasp the concept of a satty so it's easy pickings. They have an extended registration of 20minutes and actually 5mins before it ended they still only just had 54 people signed up so basically was losing out money at this point, then they got flooded with 20 entrants in last 20mins. I still believe though they will be quite profitable if you play every night, just check how many are in and so on and work it out. I'll be there tonight and no doubt there will be more people tonight, but still I thought I'd share with other cardchatters as most will see the dead money in there...

As you can see from the screenshot, it only last 58minutes..but if you fancy it and building your bankroll then do it you can then convert the ticket into tournament dollars if you wish (I have) but intend to win some more tickets hopefully so will be playing the Storm regardless and hoping to make some profit out of these easy games! Basically it's a double or nothing, but with a ton more value in the mix!

GL!

ps: To find the tournament (which i'm sure you might well know) goto tournament tab/regional.

Sounds good

I was on there earlier and played a freeroll for it, but there were about 3000 runners with 10 seats.
I didn,t see the $5 buy ins for one - haven,t played on there for ages until tonight
How do you convert your tournament ticket to cash? Do you have to qualify more than once?
Will give it a try tommorow

You are automatically registered into the tournament and just unregister then get t$ into your account.

Yeah as for the $5.00 ones, it looks as if they have changed it to a freeroll with rebuy-s and addon for 0.10...I guess they realised the $5.00 wasn't making them enough money...

It "was" great value...it looks now though as if pokerstars realise they are losing money so have actually changed it to a freeroll with 100seatsGTD with rebuy-s addons etc. The rebuys and addons are actually only 0.10c though so I might give it a try..

I played in that too (in fact I'm two spots above ramdeebam in his screenshot!). I think I only played two hands, neither of which saw a turn. That was enough to make it into the cash. Unfortunately PokerStars got wise to the whole 83 entrants for 55 spots thing and changed it to a freeroll with cheap rebuys for the rest of the week. It's a shame because I'm trying to build up tourney dollars so I can play a couple of SCOOP events and after that satellite, I had the rest of my evenings planned! Still, it was nice to drop on a satellite where the ratio was ridiculously good for a change!

Shame they got rid of the $5 ones but I'm gonna give the freeroll a shot anyway. Not planning on doing any rebuys but we'll see. Do you know if the rebuy money is added to the prizepool?
