Alright. So, I decided in October that I was going to make a run at the UB Step SnG's. What can I say, the money at the top and the opportunity to make it on the WPT or wsop is too good to pass up. Through October, I didn't track my progress, and didn't really have much of a strategy to how to approach progression through the 10 STEPS. I just kind of played. Beginning on the 20th of November, I made a plan of how to progress through the STEPS and made a committment to stay at the first STEP until I earned enough tickets to make me confident based on my statistics that I could make a run at the top.

So far, I have played 35 STEP 1 SnG's since November 20. I have won 13 STEP 2 Tickets and won 7 STEP 1 Tickets. So, I have placed in 20/35 SnG's (A little better than 57%). My longest losing streak was 4 without placing. My current streak is placing in 8 straight (6 STEP 2, 2 STEP 1) and 9/10 overall.

I will continue to update my progress in this thread during the coming couple of months as I try to make a serious run at these SnG's. As I said, I will not move up a STEP for at least another couple of months, as I try to grind this out to see how far it can take me.

I've played these awhile back. Would have to look up my winrate in these but I don't think I got past level 5. I did like 10+ step ones. Good luck.

How many step 2 tickets will you need to move up a step?

I am going to play in a minimum of 100 STEP 1's before I advance to any higher STEPs. The primary reason for this is so that I can get an ample sample size to properly evaluate my play and adjust my overall strategy. That, and I want to make this a repeatable process so that I can make routine runs at the top as freqeuntly as I would like. With enough numbers, the rest takes care of itself.

I played in these a bit too, but had forgotten about them until this thread. Think im going to have to get back into it, it is a really good offer!

Keep posting your updates, this should be a good thread.

So, the other day I posted that I was going to play 100 STEP 1's before I advance and play STEP 2. I have decided to revise this strategy, as it would take forever and a day to complete this and move through the STEPS. So, I have revised my overall strategy.

I will keep a bank of np more and no less than 3 tickets for each STEP. So, from STEP 2, once I have reached 4 STEP 3 tickets I will begin playing STEP 4, etc etc. Conversely, if I go below 3 STEP 2 tickets, I will drop down to STEP 1 and play until I am back above 3 STEP 2 tickets.

Why did I choose 3? Multiple opportuniies to repeat success.
