Just before the OFC Ultimate Bet challenge on Sunday, I got the popup window that says "You are registered for a game, we will take you to your seat." Then, another message popped up telling me there was a problem with the software and it couldn't take me to my seat. The message told me to uninstall and reinstall the UB software. I did that. Got the same error message. Went thru the whole uninstall and reinstall again and despite getting the error message, I was taken to my seat.

I was bored today and read thru the UB blogs and found that this is a new glitch in the UB updated software and they have provided a quick fix for it. the paragraph below is taken directly from the UB blogs section of the UB lobby:
A quick fix!
It may happen that the game application does not take you directly to your registered game -this usually occurs when the computer’s resources are kind of overloaded-. In this case, we recommend you to log out and log back in from UltimateBet. If you are not taken to your table, you can do the following:
  • Open UltimateBuddy (green button located at the left part of the screen).
  • Click on “Buddies” at UltimateBuddy’s left top section.
  • Select “Add Buddy” and input your username in the text box. Hit “Ok” button.
  • Under the “Online” section of your contacts, double click on your nickname and, finally, select the table you haven’t been taken to.
I hope this helps someone; I wish I had known it on Sunday

That blog should have added the following statement.
1) Uninstall ultimate bet
2) Go to a real poker room
3) Have a nice day.
I am running UB on my Mac through virtual PC and it is so slow and jerky right now I can barely handle it.

sounds like they fired their old development team because they were cheating and hired new people that don't know what they're doing yet

Hopefully, they're not cheating, too.
