I'm new to say in poker but I have a few questions and would like to know your opinion as from more experienced players

1 when you were a newcomer most play too loose ?
2 cash game and tournaments played with him tighter ?or there are those who play and hope for luck, not paying attention to the maps ?

At the beginning I played only for not the real money. Then I participated in live tournaments, now I play online, but I can tell that in my opinion it is better to train at the beginning on not the real money.

When I first started online many years ago, having never played Texas Hold 'em before, I played just about every hand. It took me awhile to realize that I was throwing away a lot of chips on hands like 7-4, J-6, etc. You will eventually have to figure out what is your comfort level, and you'll have to learn things like position (an A-6 is not as strong early as it is late when everyone has folded to you), how to avoid chasing flushes, straights or sets, etc. Practice is the best teacher. Good luck, don't play with more than you can afford to lose, and have fun.

There are plenty of freerolls on pokerstars, fulltilt etc
Keep playing them and aim to get in the money............it good to learn from your mistakes :p

But mistakes should not cost you your hard earned money, so hurray for freerolls
lol :D

Everyone is different

Every player is different and it is difficult to say how a newcomer might play. It depends on the kind of person that he is i guess. New comers usually play according to their nature. One encounters all different sorts of play. Some play loose, some tight, others just wait for aces/kings, while some recreational ones play just about anything,
One just has to observe their play for a little while and you'll figure it out. Now go figure :toilet:

When I was new to on-line poker, I practiced A LOT at the play money tables at poker stars. I played a TAG style to the extreme at the beginning, especially in the MTT's.
I suggest as you are learning to read every book on poker you can get your hands on and take advantage of free lessons such as the poker school on-line at Poker Stars since you play there.
