Anyone playing any of the Titan Payback Tourneys this weekend? .. err.. I mean 'this next week' (cuz only the $200Kguar. on Sunday is part of the promo this weekend).

Seems kinda odd how they ask you to put your pw in on the promo??
Was planning on playing the $109 - $35Kguar. but might have to spew in the $200K now instead.

So ... am I reading this right ... if you play the $200K Gtd on Sunday and don't make the cash they refund your buy in?

Seems to good an offer to refuse

Well the way I read it if you play the $215 game you get $215 put into your bonus account which you have to clear in 7 days at a rate of $5 for 250 points. This according to my calculation means you need to generate around $650 rake in 7 days, good luck. :)

Yet another offer that appears to be excellent at first glance, but not so good when you study the small print.

I really don't get poker promotions at the moment. Full Tilt did get one thing right (don't shot me I'm only saying), the Take 2 promo was an inspired idea. It was an easy promo that fed money in to the lower levels and kept the losing players playing. Feeding up through the system, giving the site rake and heading up to the winning players.

This Titan Promo only seems to benefit higher rollers (I didn't think iPoker liked that type of player much anyway)

yup, agreed 100%

Also note with Titan.... they have zero reps. on any of the poker forums. Sounds kinda -ev to me.

Indeed. I reread that offer a number of times. Then it hit me. They are giving you the buyins back as bonus dollars, that need to be cleared at whatever rate :(

Yah it's kinda weird how when I too read it but didn't see the 'payback' was with a bonus (even though it's right there in front of ya).
To clear it I believe it's in $5 increments, 250pts. per $5 (on Titan you get 17pts. for each $1 tourney fee). In other words, it kinda blows (unless you're playing a TON on there anyways).

It certainly looked too good to be true -- if they were simply refunding buyins, they may as well just have made them all freerolls.

I gotta cash in one of the Titan FR again to get another bankroll going there. I had cashed out all my Titan winnings in June to make a concerted go with my Full Tilt first deposit bonus stacked with my Iron Man mid year bonus (like 70% rakeback), but yeah... that plan kind of went to hell.

On the flipside, pokerstars is offering a Japan-only freeroll tourney which is nice and may bring me back into the fold...
