Thinking about opening up an acount at Doyle's Room

Does anyone play there? My buddy out in Cali does and I've actually seen him play a few $5 STT and the competition looked really soft compared to Full Tilt. I like Full Tilt but it just seems that I'm not making any real progress. Started off with $25 and been up to $200 then back down to $100, and so - seemed to be hovering around that $100 mark for the past 10 days or so. Although I know I can beat Full Tilt in time, I would rather play at a site where I can move up and make $$ faster.

The reason I'm thinking about Doyle's Room in particular is b/c I already have an account at bodog and UB but they are not rakeback accounts, and without a rakeback account it's almost impossible to really move ahead. Do any of you know what sites offer RB for Doyle's Room?

I have played there for the past month. I don't play sit n go's though, just ring games. (.05/.10 and .10/.20) I have found the play to be a little tighter than at Full Tilt but still profitable. I would probably choose Full Tilt if I had rakeback there....but I don't and I don't think anyone can really afford to play at a site that doesn't offer rakeback. With that being said, I would recommend Doylesroom if you are not happy with Full Tilt... I like it. :)

Thanks for the the reply. Tighter play isn't necessarily a bad thing, if anything, probably makes stealing a lot easier and most likely getting called by rags pr-flop and getting your monsters bad beated a little less likely...lol.

How much RB do you get at Doyle's Room and from what site did you get it from? Are they reliable?

Unfortunately I cannont comment on reliability yet since I have only been playing there for a month. I deposited through picclub so I shouldn't have any problems with cashouts. The rakeback is 33%. I believe they use the dealt cards method to calculate. If you google doylesroom rakeback you will find a place to sign up. (I'm surprised cc doesn't have a link) I don't think I can tell you a certain site to go to since its probably considered a competing site. Good luck.

I played there before I ever heard about Rakeback. If I remember correctly depositing was a little bit of a pain - but if you're not a repeat depositor should be fine -

They have a weekly bounty where 3-4 celebrities/family members play, and the prizes get stupid if you knock out all 3 (ya right) - but they refund your first buy-in and fee when you play in it.

I also really liked the 'Gold Card' thing - (and this may explain the tight play) - for every certain number of status points the table accumulates, it randomly picks cards until one was one of the dealt hole cards, and that player gets a 'Gold Card' added to his account - which you can use on the daily lottery - which is ussually a tournament where the buyin is x of 'card' - or rarely a cash bonus.

I haven't played on the site in a little over 8 months (if memory serves me correctly), but it had that going for it, if you're a ring game player.

And I can't really complain about the software.

As far as customer service goes - I had a guy named Carl Malone call and e-mail me a bunch of times, ask me how I liked the room, let me know there was a promotion coming up - and I had to scan/e-mail them my ID. If Carl calls you, you should ask why he got out of basketball, and if Jimmy Kimmel's impressions bother him... (Now I gotta youtube some of that . . . that stuff is funny.)
