This could probably be considered part "table/game selection" theory and part "mental game/psychology of poker" but I've found over the years Bovada/ignition has consistently been the site I do best on...without fail.
Sure I run bad sometimes and get brutal beats there too but even though I can be a slight loser/small breakeven winner on other sites...time and time again it never seems to hold up long term, but on Bovada I feel like I'm pretty consistent and feel at the top of my game on the site.
My theories as to why are :
- was one of the first sites I cashed out from
- one of the first sites I placed first in an MTT in
- the anonymous nature suits my style
- it seems like a super soft site still
- time bank for decisions is perfect length
Now as for the anonymous part, I think it helps because you can adjust less and play a straight forward game but at the same time can also custom tailor your game to the gameplay whenever a new player sits down. You don't have to worry about someone having thousands of hand stats on you, you can come and go quickly, and you can only play 4 tables so you have no choice but to focus on each player when they sit down. It feels like live poker and maybe that's why it helps me.
What do you think?
And do you have a site you play on that you feel great on and feel like regardless of a good or bad session you feel at home on that site and play well?
