Tempted

Have you ever been tempted to go to one of the high stakes tables (Over $50 for blinds) on the poker site you play on and play even just for a few hands? And if you have played, how did you do?

I played on the 15/30 when I was drunk once, lost the 300 i bought in with. It wasn't enough to be on that table and I suffered a suck out.

Not doing that again in a hurry.

During my first foray into online poker a year or so ago I was very lucky at the 1/2 tables and built a $400 bankroll. Felling invincible, I jumed in a 5/10 game and was broke in about 20 minutes...

I just did that last week. I have been doing pretty good lately playing Titan jackpot sit n goes placing in the money one way or another but these are only the $2 and $5 buy-ins with prize amts from {$3 to $25}. So with my winnings I got cocky and thought I could win a higher stakes SnG and lost it all. Tough lesson but I learned to stay within my limits now. When I build up my bankroll again and gain a little more experienc and patience I will play the higher stakes games again.

It's for just this reason that I withdraw any big winnings I get. It keeps me from seeing a big bankroll and thinking I could jump up a level in blinds. With just a small amount at a site I am forced to stick with the lower limit games where I can do well instead of getting in over my head.

The only one ive thought of going in is the one Grumbledook played in> Beat the Mob, i was tempted one day to play it, but i dont think im good enough yet. Theres some good players that play that, i watched Grum when he played, and the players were real good, thats my opinion, I guess i dont have enough confidence in myself yet, but someday im gonna try it, or another like it. >>>>>>> buckster436 :hello:
