Talksport Challenge Freeroll with £50 bounty

I never knew these games existed until today when I was talking to me dad who listens to talksport everyday, as I was leaving the room I heard the commentator mention a freeroll on pokerstars, which made me stop in my tracks.

As I was trying to listen to what he was saying, my mum would start talking which I am sure she does this to wind people up as she didn't say a word until I wanted to know what he was talking about. I could not find the game in the lobby and I was gonna kill me mum as I didn't hear it properly.

I have finally found it and registered for it. It is only available to people in UK and ireland. If you knock out Mickquinn09 you get £50 and if you get top 18 you go through to a live tournament in Nottingham to play the UKIPT ME.

No never played them, I did play one bounty game last year but I completely forgot that talksport works with pokerstars, it was the radio that reminded me today

They are every night until the 26th, so I will play in as many as I can, hoping to play in the live event. I have never played live so it will be a great chance to see how I play

Its a great offer too, not only do you win a seat, you also win a 5 night stay in accommodation for the start till the end date

Yeah there great offers like it would be boss if you won a seat then shipped the ME

and yeah I will be in them all missed the previous ones though too lazy to go on fb until today

GL Steff, I will rail ya. My Jacks were beaten by ATo I shoved on a A flop, always an ace on the flop when I have jacks lol. My fault tho should of been a shove pre as I was 13bb

Short and sweet game as the blinds go up every 5 mins (yuck) Pretty much CD and too aggro to steal, oh well, don't dwell. Will try again tomorrow night

I think top 18 get a ticket to another freeroll which can have upto 500 folks and if you come first you get the live tournament package.. Good for the bounty though as getting the live package is a long shot LOL

I was playing tonight but got busted blinds 75/150 with 1255 stack and shoved 88 in position with re raiser SB re shoves and shows JJ

Played it on monday and finished 59th out of 900+ ...really thought I was gonna get a ticket lol...will play tonights one, forgot about last nights...gl all playing.

I played in one of these last year, ended up with 500 runners for a live event...Only the winner got a ticket..Guess who finished 2nd..

Most nights at 8pm they have gig ticket freerolls on PS for UK as well (Regional tab). Even if you don't want the tickets there's a bit of cash to be won !

I don't think I would do very good live sarah, never tried it, not even in my kitchen lol, wouldn't know where to start...would be nice to try it one day though, can imagine it being even better than online...

@steve, wow ul man, they payouts are quite bad given the number of players...1 ticket for 500 is pretty awful tbh, I thought 16 tickets for 1k was bad too.

Yea live does seem to be a bit scary, I know I would make mistakes with my betting and raising, I am sure the dealer counts your chips when you bet so that would help me out as I do count wrong hehe

I know its a long shot to get to the live game as it is only 1 who goes, but you have to be in it to win it and someone has to win it, lets hope its one of us

Did you ever follow up on the nuts league thing I told ye about ages ago?..they don't do them in my area or I would prob go and get some live experience...

Live is a lot slower than online so I would imagine you had a minute or so to count chips and keep up with what's in the pot...but then you need to hide your tells...counting chips right away when there's still people left to act might give your hand away haha, can't look too keen to get it in...but I don't know, never tried it.......always got a chance to win if you're in....might take 8 hours/8 months or 8 years, but hitting that big score could change everything...

No I never bothered with it, still might join one day tho, will give me plenty of practise

Dont think you can't do it though... Last year I qualified for UKIPT Cork from nothing.
I won two freerolls to secure a 109 euro satellite ticket which I converted into the 1100 euro entry.
