Hey everyone, I have slowly built a bankroll of $40 on pokerstars by default (I got a free $2 from them), which combined with the fact that I just made my first cash in today's freeroll for a cool $20 on FullTilt, means that I'm finally safely rolled to try my hand at some $1 SnGs.

However, I've been looking at FTs SnG blind structure, and I like it a lot more, so I'm thinking of transferring my PS bankroll to FT so that I can play in their SnGs, and also try my hand at completing some of the academy challenges.

Anyone have any particular thoughts on either of these sites (i.e. where the games are softer, tech issues less common, rake is lower, etc.)? I was basically playing on PS by default before, but now that I actually have a roll, I'd like to switch to the site that would best suit me. I will only be playing micro stakes (cash games, and 45-90 man SnGs) in the foreseeable future, so that's all I'm really concerned with.

Thanks in advance for any and all comments, and best of luck to you at the tables.

T.

How is the rake compared to PokerStars? I consider that more important than blind structure.

For the 1 dollar tourneys, FT has a slightly higher "entrance fee" of .25 instead of .20. The rake for micro stakes cash games on PS is also on average lower than on FT. I play mostly tournaments though, so I'm not sure if a .05 difference per tourney is worth it to me to give up on FT's sweeter blind structure (deeper stacks at 3000 in chips instead of 1500, and blinds don't have PokerStars' crazy 100/200 to 200/400 double blind jump in the middle of the tourney).

FTP takes away quiet a bit of rake more than stars, but FTP points are easier to get because of their happy hour. I personally prefer stars because FTP has a few tech issues from time to time and on stars I never have problems. I haven't been playing on stars because I lost my $50 BR that I started from $1, and started one on FTP from $25 3rd place finish on tuesday's freeroll. Best of luck :)

I guess what I'll do for now is just keep my money on both where it is, and see how it goes. Play on FT sometimes and on PS other times. Use it to change things up when things aren't going my way (I know that it makes no real difference, but psychologically it could help). Also, I really would like to try my hand at the academy challenges on FT and see if I can't score any prizes, at the very least a set of cards or something like that. Most of those challenges are things I do anyway, so it shouldn't be too hard.

Thanks for all the advice everyone, best of luck to you!
