Strange things on 888

I have read lots of posts on here and other forums about so called random cards not being random, I have always laughed this type of thing off, until now, maybe ?
I play on 888 all the time now and I have noticed a lot of gutshot straights being made on the river, now I know of course that this is going to happen now and again, but time ofter time this happens on 888, it happens way more than has ever done on other sites I have played, over nearly 20 years.

This happens in my favour as well as against me and I do not think this is some devious plot to get more money off players, I just think it is a glitch in their random dealing software?
Anyone else noticed this, or maybe it is just randon but it happens so ofter I doubt it.

888 have a lot of mtt whom structure encourage "Bingo Play".

Would not be surprised if their card generator mirrors this.

I play there sparingly and I am agreement with your observation.

I don't have a big sample size so maybe someone who plays there a lot maybe better at proving theory right/wrong.

You're not the only one that notices this, i see the same problem every now and again. not often , but way more often.

Well, can we find somehow in what percentage that is happening from hands already played?

Yeah I have notice that as well not just straight draws but just outright bad beats.

I just thought every poker room is like that.

I remember a year ago I was playing a 10 cent blast sit n go and won a hand with quads over quads. At the micro stakes level and freerolls I notice a lot of junk hands winning.

in all the poker rooms you see that kind of plays, even in the homegames of pokerstars are played like that, I do not see anything strange in that

Please tell me a reason, why 888 should have programmed their software to increase the chance of Gutshots to be accomplished and how it's possible at all? Or you are just speaking about the great conspiracy without any proofs? Nothing personal, but please.. for the sake of sense. I mean it's a poker and you really should stop thinking that poker rooms are tricking you by manipulating false random generators in favor to somebody. I could ever imagine this at high roller stakes (which is really disgusting if it ever been), but at micro-low-middle.. Who ever will do that? And for what reasons?
As an example i had a funny session just yesterday at PS, where i've got dealt KK on two different tables, which both hit set on a flop. But it didn't stop amazing me, at one of those tables i kept getting AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AA again. It was like a birthday, but at the end i finished as a bubble to my lulz. It's a poker. Anything is possible. I don't believe someone tricking us. Not about this. They have enough money from high rake, that we pay to play.

I regularly play poker in 888, but I did not notice anything like that. I think this is more accidental than any system error.

It is easy to think that your opponents are getting lucky on the river way too often because you are way more likely to see your opponents cards when they do get lucky. This should also influence HM2 if you filter for opp hitting Gutshot, because, as said, you are more likely too see his hand when he hits than misses.

However, I have no idea why you are hitting more gutshots, just luck I suppose. The thought that 888's RNG would be flawed and they have not noticed it yet is so unlikely. I think it's a 1000 times more likely that they are rigging it, and I think it being rigged is as likely as me getting struck by lightning today .

On the legitimate sites today I think the only cheating going on is collution and bots, that's the real problem. (Super users could exist but probably not).

Nope 888 are legit, I've played over 7000 mtts on there and there's nothing wrong with their rng.

I am not saying 888 are not legit and I am not saying that they are doing anything deliverately, but as someone who has played a lot of poker at a lot of different sites over a lot of years I am saying it is something I have noticed on this site.
I am not moaning about bad beats because it happens in my favour as often as against me but believe me THERE IS A GLITCH in the 888 RNG, i am sure it is not deliberate but it is there.
I have played online poker since day one and this is the first time I have noticed this and it has happened over months so it is not a swing thing.
I am not accusing 888 of fixing the game but in my opinion there is a glitch but i still do fine, it was just an observation.

I have played many sites but 888 is where i've played more than any other. I'm not saying your wrong but i certainly haven't noticed anything. Runs of things that seem unlikely will always happen at times in poker, it doesn't necessarily mean there's a glitch or anything wrong.

Of course I can never prove anything one way or another and as I still play all my poker on
888 maybe it is just the poker gods, but maybe not

I'd suggest it to be 'Selective Memories' over anything to do with some sort of 'glitch' (I mean how could a 'gutshot gettin' there glitch' be possible?

Selective Memories in Poker:
We naturally remember events that support our beliefs and forget conflicting evidence.


We can see this in poker very often. Just have to listen to some players who perceive themselves to be better at the game than they really are (I'm not suggesting this is you at all).

ie. Because we think we are good, but unlucky, we remember and get angry about our bad beats, but forget the times we played stupidly and sucked out.

I play there a lot and see all kinds of bad beats, the site has become almost a you need luck to win, solid poker only kicks in once you get deep into a tourney. Cash games, you need lots of patience.

There is a song in that quote somewhere. Too much fun is a good thing. I read this forum for entertainment. I have no opinion of 888. I do find it lol funny that there are way too many full houses etc. To see these you have to be seeing them. Which means you are winning with them or making terrible calls against them. The community cards are " ALWAYS " A,K,Q,J? Really? Always? Folding low pairs IE : middle or bottom pair is a good thing. If your folding low pocket pairs then you are losing value when the full house , that hits all the time, hits you.

I have been noticing something strange lately with 888 Pokers big fish freebuy tournaments they show announced in the lobby then disappear there is huge overlay with the three dollar satellites around $1500 always good news for the player.

888 is just trash. The way the board runs out is not normal. I literally saw the board have 4 of the same suit 10 times in the first 20 minutes of the tournament. I would log on the next day and the same thing would happen. 888 favors donkey players and its really hard to win when there are so many bad beats, or the board runs out a certain way much more often than it should. Withdrawal is a nightmare. They are fast to take your money but slow to give it back. The free spin wheel is hacked. The terms and conditions of the bonuses are unfair. I only recommend 888 for freeplay tournaments. Otherwise I wouldn't suggest depositing a penny
