Hello,

This is a tough one to explain. I used a certain processor to deposit money to an online poker site (obviously the poker site accepts this processor). The processor pre-approved a few ACH Debits to my bank account for the funds, around $1k. There were more than sufficient funds in my account to cover the requested transactions. I then transferred these funds from the processor to the poker site, played with them, and lost them like a maniac.

About a week later I found out that my bank had blocked the transactions (they detected 'duplicate' ACH Debits). The processor suspended my account for suspected fraud. I contacted the processor and asked how I could help get them the funds and encouraged them to attempt re-debits. I don't usually play like a maniac, and I'm an honest person - so they need their money, and that's only fair. Oddly, however, they didn't care despite daily attempts to contact them. It took weeks to get a reply, and finally they told me that my account was in good standing. In fact they insisted that it was in good standing, and basically asked me to stop pursuing the issue. That's because they had reversed the deposits to the poker site instead of re-charging me for them!

Shortly thereafter, the poker site blocked my account due to suspected fraud. I contacted them, and explained the situation in great detail (including the 4 pages of trouble ticket info from the processor). Finally they told me that I would need to redeposit about 1.5k to 'even out' my account. This was an incorrect amount, so I contacted the processor again who informed me that they had reversed ALL transactions from the poker site, even the ones that went through from several weeks ago.

So I informed the poker site that the first thing they need to do is get the funds out of the processor (.5k) that they are hoarding (because my processor account is suspended and I can't do it), and then I'd happily - and immediately - send them the remaining funds ($1k).

I got back the typical (we'll have a supervisor look into it) and that was over 2 weeks ago. I've spent countless hours in contact with both the processor (24 e-mails to date) and the poker site trying to get them their money. It's as if no one wants it (I'm sure this will warrant a few "I'll take it" replies). I'm dead serious too, they just don't understand the problem or don't care.

I'm a little nervous with both the processor and the poker site having my bank account info. They are so clueless I'm afraid I'll wake up in a month and they will have debited twice as much as they should have. I'm considering having my bank block them so I can control that from happening. I'm an honest person, and I don't like being accused of fraud by either of these organizations.

Does an out of country processor and poker site have any recourse against "oustanding" or "fraudulent" debts? I just don't want some debt collector turning up after 3 years or some guy calling/knocking on my door in a years time demanding money when someone with a brain finally figures this out. If they don't want it, I'll keep it and be done with it. I'm sick of wasting my time trying - practically pleading - for them to rectify the solution and take my money.

Thanks for your input in advance.

First off, why are you protecting either one of them. State the processor, and state the Poker site.

Without that info, you can't expect generic answers.

Strange $ / Deposit Issue - Thoughts Please - response

Hello,

I apologize for being vague. It is certainly not meant to protect them. I'm new to this forum and I'm not sure who would be affiliated with the poker site, or the processor and only create more confusion and problems for me. Frankly, the more people I contact directly or indirectly at either the processor or the poker site (especially) for help just make things worse.

I understand that the lack of disclosure will not generate responses and I apologize for the original post.

For anyone interested in my circumstance, I have sent one last e-mail to both the site and the processor offering a final attempt to assist them and send them money that is rightfully theirs. I have not received a reply from the processor (and I doubt I will) and received back the standard "will forward to my manager" from the poker site.

I will continue to research my original questions and concerns elsewhere in the mean time.

Thanks.

Dont be overly worried about mentioning the names of the sites involved. If they are legit you will be told, if other members have had similar bad experiences you will be told. Its very difficult to give you any advise without this information. If you dont want to post it, fine, good luck.

well like both the site and the processor sound really terrible, so its probably not a mainstream website.
