Hi, can anyone help me with the rules around Steps Tournaments. I got a Step 1 ticket from the FTPA, turned it into a Step 2 ticket and now I'm wondering if there's anything I can do with a Step 2 ticket apart from buying into a Step 2 tournament? Can I only play Steps games until I get to the top level? I'm a little confused as to what I can do with this ticket.

I believe at FT you can use steps three an above to buy into tournaments of the same value. So if you want to "cash out" you have to cash in a tournament. Or you can keep on stepping.

I used points I earned from challenges in the academy to get the ticket. You can only pass these challenges if you're already playing money games, however. Thanks for the help on this though guys, appreciate it.

Basically you're stuck with the "Steps" til' you reach 'Step3' (which is equal to $26).... you can use the 'Step3' ticket to play in any $26buyin SNG/MTT (there's 45-plyr. SNG's, lots of guar. MTT's).

I like PO's explanation a lot. The one that FT gives in Atlanta's post would lead one to think that they needed to wait till step five. If they start allowing it at step 3 than their example should be about ste 3 but instead they give a step 5 example. Oh the hopes of just leaving the money there to be played in a harder tourney where you will just lose it all to one of their paid by the hour players

LOL

Nah, it clearly states 'STEP 3 AND ABOVE'.

I enjoy step tourney's, they're an easy way to make a dollar or two of Sportsbook while risking hardly anything.

I like the idea of been able to get to a massive buy-in Tourny from just SnGs from $1, its a great idea and PP have done something 'similar' for a while now.
I have to be honest and tell you i have started from step 0 three times (ST) and made it only once i think, never made it to step 2 though im afraid, i tend to like cash pirzes so dont bother with them much but stilll like the idea.

Here s a thing though... its very similar to playing sub satalites and what not, you start from a low buy-in, recieve a buy-in for the next tourny and etc, but you are allowed to use these winnings as cash. ;-)

The steps on tilt and stars I find difficult. Placing in the top two to move on is pretty tough to do that many times in a row

Got to Step 2 in two tries. Today, I will go for the Step3 and at least try keep the Step 2. PATIENCE. I see so much gambling when the game is not top place winner takes all. For example: The chip leader was raising all-in two spots from the bubble with K-7 off. I laid down AK with no thought at one of the strategic stages. CHIPS are valuable. One player almost qualified and he only had 81 chips left.
