Anyone playing these at all? I played a 60FPP tourney with 100 players, first place gets a $27 step 2 ticket and 2-9 get a $7.50 step 1 ticket. I took first place. Have yet to try anything with the step 2 ticket, but wanted to get advice from people who have played them. Also if I get to step 4, should I play a $215 mtt or go all the way and try to win a wsop seat? I would have to think playing a $215 mtt would be better since in step 6 only top 1 out of 6 gets paid and if you don't, there goes $2,000.

I am not 100% sure, correct me if you find otherwise, but I believe once your in the steps thing, you're stuck in the steps thing. So you can't take your money out as $T.

When you get to step 4 you can play any $215 mtt with it. It says it right on the pokerstars client when you are under Sit n go < Satellite < Steps

I noticed another option would be to play the Step 4 sat to the Sunday 500. 9 person sng where top 3 get a $530 seat into the Sunday 500 and 4th place gets $210 cash.

i dont liked pokerstars, im prefer fult tilt

lol, stars is waaaaay better then full tilt IMO.

Yeah step 2 is like step 1 IMO. watch out for step 4+ where it gets harder n harder lol. I was on a table (step 4) with 2 supernovas onetime and they were bustin everyone.

So would you say that if I got to step 4, I should play the Sunday Million or some other $215 mtt rather than continue in the steps?

hard to say competition will be stiffer if you continue and 1 mistake gets u nothing however mtt can sometimes be tough to cash in on so 6 one way half dozen the other.

i would just do the sunday million at step 4...since if you lose when trying to move after step 4 would really suck

good job on the first place

In my experience, Steps 1, 2, and 3 are very similar because of the types of players you have in them, plus they are turbos. Once you get to Step 4, it's not a turbo any more and it's a much different caliber of player. If you can get to Step 4, I would recommend playing a $215 MTT. I don't even know if I would play the Sunday Million per se, there are alot of good $215 MTTs and you still get some bad players in the SM because they satellited in for $2 or whatever.

I play steps all the time. Getting a step 4 ticket is the goal in most cases unless you feel like playing live (in which case you'll need to win step 6) I am currently holding onto two step 5 tickets and I'll add that step 6 is really tough to get by. I've been there countless times only to have won money. If you can't play deep stacked short hand, don't go past step 4. the fields also get a lot tougher after step 3. notice how almost 80% of the tables are all supernova's, and a good amount of them are sharks.

Thanks a lot for these replies. I will shoot for step 4 and play a $215 mtt.

I am trying a few of these and have a step 4 and a 2 ticket right now. It can get fairly donkish early on in steps last night some one re-reaised my AA all in with 78 and I called and so did a KJ and obviously AA lost. Also you have to be prepared for the all inner sometimes in the late stages/last 3 players sometimes every hand so you might have to risk your chips if you are the lower stack and find a hand your comftable calling with.

Yeah, I was playing some steps to LAPT, started in steps 1 and few times I was in step 5 but never made it unlucky to step 6...at least I got some FPPs :)) I thinks its great, because there are really bad people even in higher steps like 3 or 4, because they luckily qualify from step 1
