I have been playing PS for several years and have enjoyed it very much. Did well in tourneys and on and off playing cash. The numerous rule and structure changes that have been taken place are in favour for the regulars. Example, the regs complained about short stackers hit and running. The min. buy in was raised from 20 to 40bb in NL. The most recent change is more anti rat hole rules. Along with poker tracker software and HUDS, beating the games on a regular basis is very hard at lower limits too now.

Two things that I noticed playing at other poker rooms that had global seating to combat bum hunters, banning all poker tracker software and alias change option is my win rate sky rocketed. I always thought playing on other smaller sites would not be profitable, but it helped me. I also find rake back really good since I am a fulltime 40 hour a week player now.

poker stars is massive, but I believe they could be bigger and attract more bottom rung players like myself by having global seating, no software and HUDS, and a VIP/ Rake back scheme that does not favour uber high volume players.

Why would they want you over players that put in more volume?

Any poker site would want more recreational and new players, and re-depositing players to feed the game. Yes, PS is huge and making big money, but I think they can do a better job attracting new blood and doubters thinking online poker is rigged because they do not understand why they are being called down by a more experienced player using HUD info.

Victoria Coren quit being a PS pro because she did not agree adding gambling via casino and sports book to attract a wider demographic is good for the game.

I agree with her. Attracting more new players, being nicer to the fish on the tables and cater more to the bottom end is better for the game.

Zzzzz. The players that are regs and use huds will simply leave stars if they remove huds. There goes all your volume.
