I'm trying my luck (or maybe some skills) on the Step games at Carbon Poker. Has anyone ever made it through all three steps?

I am noticing that it seems to be a crap shoot in the first level, sometimes the players are always all in or nothing, sometimes I get fortunate and hit a table where people play to win.

What are your experiences on the step games?

I have only done them a few times, less than 10, but got to step 3 and made the buck 3 times.

I am playing them now as well, as I've just recently signed up at Carbon. Have made it to Step 3 twice, but haven't had any luck in winning one of them yet. It will happen though!

Thanks for your feedback!

Thank you for sharing some of your thoughts on my thread. The steps games are a bingo shot, especially in the early rounds, but I think they have better odds at winning anything than the freerolls. Good luck on the felts everyone!

The first step is usually pretty easy to place. Very often 2 to 3 people go all in the first hand. You only need to come in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd to win the step two ticket. The second level is harder but not that hard. Then the first and second place get step 3 tickets the third gets a step two. The third level the first place wins $1.00 and the second and third get step 3 tickets. I won a few dollars a while back, lately been getting to step two then wiffing. Will probably continue to play a few hands when i have time.

Go to Sit and Go. Fun 1,2 or 3 depending on ticket you have. Have to go to player account, then go to play money and buy a ticket with $250 play money. You recieve a ticket and go to Sit and go and register.

I have been drawn to these as well, and as it turns out, I actually like the software, pt3 works well there too.

These are pretty slow, but I think it's a good way for beginners to build a small bankroll without having to deposit anything.

I've made it a couple times as well. Some days I'll max my step ones and play all ten and cash in 4-6 usually. If I have more time I'll play less at once. but step 2 and 3 I usually play 2 if not 1 since they're supposed to be a little more serious. not always the case though....

I have won a few dollars playing these.
step 1 = bingo
step two = tighter bingo
step 3 is usually a decent game.
I use these fun steps to try out different moves.
They are good fun and free.

Here's what I do now and again,
I will play fun steps till I win the dollar,
then I will go in the 7c turbo sng (another bingo)
then the fast 50.... 60c sng.
and so on....
this is a cheap way of going from play money to real money.
You will notice the play is different even in the fast 50
compared to the fun steps.
keep moving up with your dollar as you learn to adjust to each slightly higher stake.

This time next year you'll be...... a millionaire.
(maybe)

Didn't know about these tournaments. Just read all the posts... for what I understand you get to play for free (play money) and have a chance to win real money, although just 1$, right?

Right. You trade $250 play money for level 1 up to 10x a day. top 3 get level 2 ticket. at level two top 2 get level 3 while 3rd gets another level 2. level 3 gets $1, level 3 or level 2 respectively. I just lost out a level 3 at 5th a minute ago :(

Ok... I just tried to join a step 1, but it says I need to buy the ticket at Player Admin... the thing is, I opened Player Admin, but don't know where to buy it from.

BTW, they fill up really quick.
