Hi, I'm going to start a bankroll in my pokerstars account (first deposit 30U $ D).

I would like to hear recommendations on what types of tournaments it is for me to play. I saw that there are a big 1.10 / hot 1.10 with good prizes guaranteed.

I personally don't like tournaments that support unlimited re-buy with addons.

play in whatever ones you feel like
Some members might suggest following bankroll management guidelines but honestly if you're depositing only $30 then you'd be stuck playing in games with buyins much less than even $1. Who would want to do that? I think playing the $1 tourneys would be fine... but I also believe that playing in the $5 or $10's will be fine too (it really depends upon what your goals or hopes are).

Good luck! I hope you win the Big $1.10 on your first time playing in it (fwiw, the first day I deposited I played a $1 tourney and placed in 2nd. I was hooked!)

I recommend reading the articles about bankroll management if you are serious about the game.

To understand this question, please answer yourself one question: what do you want from poker?
Have a good time and spend money on poker tournaments, try your luck and if you lose them you won’t regret it.
Or do you want to make money poker on an ongoing basis without the risk of losing your cash investments and only multiply them.
If you want to make money by poker and learn poker, you need to observe bankroll management, namely 100 buy-ins for regular tournaments, 200 buy-ins for turbo tournaments and 500 buy-ins for MTT. With such a strong bankroll, you will never lose all your money, because it will be possible to go down to the limit below or to the limit above the growth of money.

the best option to make a rule a stick to it. I would say only spend 5% at a time on cash games and 2% on tourneys. This can flex a little depending on your skill and play style. I have used that rule alone to build several $30 bankrolls into a few thounsand.

I would recommend you to play in tournaments of 0.55 -1.10 are good tournaments with a small entrance and a normal prize pool, or there are still good options in sit-and-go tournaments where there are a small number of players 45 people and you can try to get prizes and raise a bankroll is faster, but if you have a lot of free time, then there are very good tournaments with knocking out players — in which you can get money into your bankroll immediately for knocking out players!

It depends, if it actually is a bankroll, or just a budget. For sure redeposit is possible in the micros, but if that is the plan, its kind of misleading to use the term bankroll. Assuming, that this actually is a bankroll, meaning you are not going to deposit again, then the best place to start is 25c 45 and 90 man SnGs. These run all the time especially during peak hours, so its easy to get a good volume, and the risk of busting your roll, if you are a winning player, is very small, when you have 120 times the buyin. Best of luck.

sit go

I advise to play (45,90,180 players sit go), they are fast tournaments and with good technical quality. You can start playing $ 0.25 to $ 1.00 tournament

For starters, I recommend buy-in tournaments of up to $ 5.

I will not advise you anything about the tournament. I think it's best to play as you feel. However, this is your first deposit and you should study and enjoy the game without stress. I wish you a lot of luck and good cards.

if it is your first deposit I advise you to start by well fomer on frerrolls and to play tournaments of 0.50. when you are sure of having a good level of play, the less player he has on an MTT and the more likely you are to place yourself. Personally I like the bounty because the game is more aggressive.

Sit-n-go's can be a nice bankroll building medium. I haven't played on PS since Black Friday so I'm not sure about any of the tourneys or cash games.

Currently I just want to have fun, I consider myself a recreational poker player, but at the same time I would like to be able to make a few dollars too if I have the opportunity.

Totally cool. Just understand, that there is a lot of variance in poker. So if you want to play those big field 1.1$ tournaments, be prepared to redeposit, when rather than if you run out of money. Because this is almost certainly going to happen, unless you get incredibly lucky right out of the gate.

But as long as you are prepared for this, and you wont feel it as a failure, it makes no real difference, how much money is sitting in your poker account. After all it only takes 30 seconds to redeposit, and you are right back at the tables :)
