Does anyone have an opinion on the Stars Fify50? The fee is smaller than the comparable regular sng. Payouts are a little smaller but more places are paid.

Haven't played one yet but stuck around to see what the payouts would be. Trying to build up my small stars bankroll thought these might be a start.

The more chips you have the better the payout.
Why it was done VS the DONs.
Ones who would build a chip stack and take out everyone else would only get the same as 5th place would, which did not make it fair.

If you played good in the DONs, then i would do the 50/50 games, but if you just got by in 5th i would not.

I still don't understand why you're saying DoNs are not fair. If you play a $10 DoN and win $20, how isn't that fair? You can't go in trying to double your money, then decide midway that since you're doing good, you deserve more money. That makes no sense at all!!!!

You can always play a regular SnG if you want a better payout. DoNs were not mandatory.

ICM for these is going to be 60/10/10/10/10, so the strategy is going to be pretty different than it is for DON's. Basically once you get your 10% equity, the remaining 50% of the prizes for the tournament are awarded on a purely cEV basis, which is why 1st is modeled as 60%.

I could be wrong but this type of structure probably rewards aggressive play more than even a standard 50/30/20 SNG would, since the payout isn't exactly flat.
