It seems like the fast tables are looser (higher VPiP). Are the fast tables weaker? I've always played the regular speed in the past. Should I mix in some fast tables? 6-max, 10nl, btw.

I think some fast tables would be looser because most people will think - faster table will make you money faster - lol. Personnaly i like faster pace 6 seat tables. I would say try mixing in fast tables and if you think its hurting your bankroll then stick with the normal ones. all depends on how you like the pace.

PPL probs think that since they've gotta play faster there starting requirements will b looser but its not.

It's for the action junkies. U've jus got less judging time on what u wanna do. Unless ur a quick thinker and confident to gamble at a quick pace then go 4 it.

I stick to normal speed as poker is a game on making good decisions at the right time. How can u do that when u have 5 seconds to make a huge call/fold/re-raise?

It's a little harder to multi-table a combination of fast and regular speed tables, and my results weren't that great when I tried to do both at the same time. Next I should try just straight fast tables and see how I do -- I think I can keep up and get in more hands over the course of an hour (with looser opponents, which is usually good).

I don't really pay attention to whether or not a table is fast. I just select them based on stats.

I remember other multi-tablers (specifically Zachvac) have said they don't pay attention to table speed when selecting tables as well.

There might be a slight difference, but when you enter the game you become 11% or 16.6% (for 6-max) of the table stats which I'd guess compensates for that slight difference.

I'd be interested to know if there is a significant difference. I mean, they're bound to attract some people who seek them out, and people who just pop in randomly might make hastier plays?

this is probably offset by the fact that multitabling nitty hudbots are more likely to play fast tables, which in turn is probably offset by the fact that some people at fast tables won't be playing optimally because they're playing too many tables, which in turn is probably offset by... ah, you get the point by now - really there's very little difference, but if you come across equally juicy normal and fast tables you're obviously better off playing the fast table if you can only play one (more hands = more $$$).

Hmmm, I'm having good results at the regular tables, but the fast ones throw me off. Down 8 bi's today at fast tables after being up 9 yesterday at regular speed.

So true. But I'm stubborn -- I want to figure out how to beat both -- just need more practice!:D Unless it gets too expensive.

I would agree that a faster table will contain players that are looser players but i don't think it's that way all the time. I enjoy playing fast tables because i am able to make up my decision pretty fast. I just hate playing with people that play so slow. I think you should play multiple fast tables with much lower stakes this way i think you would make more money. I think i read an article about a high stakes cash games online player that said instead of playing high stakes tables he plays multiple medium to low stake tables this way the "swings" are not as big and his earnings would be consistent.
