I read more on the details of it. You have to be at a ring table. The players in the hand dealt gets $2,000 each! The winner of the hand gets $5,000! Even if you lose, you win! I have a feeling I'll be back at the pokerstars ring tables very soon.

Actually,

That is just for the milestone hands which is every 5,000,000th hand. The 5,000,000,000th hand gets:

Every player who's dealt cards in our 5 billionth hand in a cash ring game wins $10,000 and entry to the WCOOP main event. The winner of the main pot wins $50,000 and entry into the WCOOP main event.

Guess I had better put some money back in that site.

They were approaching hand # 4.93 billion, which was supposed to be the first milestone hand, last night. I stayed up trying to reach it, but i just got too tired, and eventually gave up and went to sleep. So anyway, this morning i was curious, so i logged onto stars, and requested the hand history for hand #4.93 billion, so so i could hate myself if it was on a micro limit table. turnes out it was at a 3/6 dollar table, but i thought i'd share this hand anyway, as i thought it was a little weird. if you'd just won 2k, and would win 5k if you won the hand, wouldn't you at least see a flop? perhaps they just didn't notice. so let this be a lesson to you, watch the hand counter.

Looks like the hands are going at a rate of ~280k an hour. I'd start looking for the next mileston around 15:15 EST, assuming a slight uptick in hands, increasing as you get closer to the milestone.

a) He's having an epileptic fit and is bashing the keyboard uncontrollably.
b) He's been dealt a really good hand, and has got a lousy poker face.
c) He's been dealt in to one of the 33 "Milestone" hands that this thread is about and has therefore won $2,000.

I dont think it's a) - the key presses would be a lot more random than that.

Probably not b). Even if he cant control his emotions when he gets a good hand, surely he can avoid typing OMG for 20 seconds.

Which leads me to suggest, possibly c)?
