So I finally deposited some money into my pokerstars account, and I want to keep track of my bankroll, but I don't think that I'll make a good excel sheet, to be completely honest. So does anybody have any ideas that would be good for a spreadsheet for me to keep track of my bankroll (earnings, losses, tournament earnings) and all that.

Any ideas/suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.

Best suggestion is investing in either Poker Tracker or Hold 'em Manager.

Both are like an an 'advanced' spreadsheet, so to speak

You can make your own spreadsheet pretty easily or try out HEM and PT3. PT3 has a free 60 day trial and HEM offers 2 weeks I believe.

Alright, thanks guys. AceZ actually gave me what I was trying to figure out. I don't see the point in spending money for a program that can be replicated with Excel. Thanks for the info about the programs, though. Maybe one day I'll check them out.

Don't fool yourself. Excel cannot replicate a tracking software. Excel cannot keep record of every player you have played against, their style in given circumstances, etc. It can only provide you a basis for your own play. I use my spreadsheet in correlation with poker dominator, which basically tracks everything that excel would, and provides more indepth break down of your play for given game type, etc.

I kinda figured that with the other programs, but that's something I don't really need right now. I'm only focusing on my game and mistakes until I get better.

You're doing exactly what I did when I started. Created my Excel spreadsheet to track type of games played, win/loss, etc. Then I started looking into other software, both free and pay. When your game advances these softwares will give you the edge that many of the other better players have.

Make sure to hang on to ALL your hand histories so when you DO decide to use poker tracker , hem or, you will have them.

Not a bad concept, but only tracking BR and win/loss is being very results oriented. PT3 has a micro stakes version which is about 1/2 the cost of the full blown version, the only limit is the stakes ($11.00 Tourney and $.25/.50 cash **I think)....

The benefit of tracking and reviewing your hand histories and plays is the best thing I have ever done to help my game. Sometimes in the heat of the moment during a game you "think" you made the right play, but when you can look at it later you begin to see where your leaks really are.

Good luck!

I have one at home that is good for tracking SNGs. Not sure what kind of setting you're looking to track(Ring, MTT, SNG). I will try to post it on here when I get home tonight.
