Hi Everybody,

I wanted to print a warning about security of this site and its sister site Betonline. Both share the same skin.
I woke up today to find that my account had been compromised and that my account had been wiped out.
I looked in my history and someone had played 2 sessions using my funds in cash games.
When I pointed this out to management they say they couldnt be held responsible for what had occurred. They said the account was used by the same IP address when the money was lost.
So-I wanted anybody using these 2 rooms to proceed with caution, because if it happened to me it could happen to anybody.
Also, can anybody out there tell me if an account can be hacked and make it appear it was being used by the same IP address?
I am a bit stunned by what has occurred.

Yeh, what Agneska said makes the most sense; it does sound like someone you know used your account without your knowledge. That is the only explanation possible if the same ip was used. I do not know of any way to fake someone else's ip and in addition, that person would have to be able to hack your poker password. It does sound as if someone you know (who also knows your password) played from your computer without your permission from your house.

Show proof of compromised account or this report is false. If this really did happen, I'm sorry, but too many fake reports going around ripping poker sites to make the other look good.

So someone, on your IP, played poker and your account got banned? Come on man, does not even make sense. Why would they ban you for doing exactly what you should be doing (assuming the person on your account was you/there is no way of them telling it was not 'you' playing)?

He did not say his account got banned, he said his account was wiped out, meaning that all his money was gone. He can still use his account but he will need to add more funds.

Ok, I see now what he meant and that makes sense. Regardless, I'd like to see some proof to this accusation.

as i said before I am stunned about what happened. the only thing I could say for sure is that it happened. Im no tech expert. It is difficult for me to give an explanation because I dont understand it myself. A pretty helpless feeling.
