I didn't quite know what you meant, so I did a quick search.

Turns out it's basically regular hold em played with two separate boards of community cards. So to scoop the pot you must win on both boards or else split the pot.

It seems interesting, almost a reverse variant of omaha.

It looks fun.

Ok, so I played it for a while for play money. Its quite addictive and fun. Getting paid by fishes and donkeys goes to another level. Just by simple abc poker and strong hands preflop I was able to go from double up to double up. Its still poker but with more action and chances to win. And especially since its new to most I believe those who will find an edge will certainly win a lot of money these first days.

I do not see it feasible, I feel that you could lose more money than you could win, try it with fictitious money and it is difficult to play it I will not risk with real money

All new that PS has invented are only for the bigger profit. Not for players. Spin-max's, this now. This looks like omaha hi/lo. More gambling. Many splits. Fishes lose slower. And more rake for the room.

It seems a little hard to learn is like a new game all over again in my opinion it will be some who will become experts and some who will just stay with regular holdem... i think texas holdem is the best poker game and they should stop creating this new games that looks more like a casino game

I kind of like it (maybe because I'm a fish myself). It does feel a lot like PLO8 without the Lo. Generally it's true what people are saying, you just have to be very strict with your starting hand selection as you will get called even more than usual by worse hands that will - twice as often - get some kind of card to split the pot, creating more rake. If you have some experience playing Hi/Lo, I think it's not too difficult to adapt. It's like a running in twice with ongoing betting action.

I also just realized that it makes set mining much tougher! With low pocket pairs you have to either hit a set on both runs 1/8*1/8 chance or get a one card flush or straight!!!

Has anyone every played with a sixth board card none as 'the ocean'.
I also like running it more than once to lower variance

Just another money grab. They have degraded their over-all player playability on their site for quite some time now, and are trying whatever gimmick they can think of in attracting new players. [IMHO]

Without math, for most hand it looks like a reduction on winnings per hand.
If correct the result is higher revenue for ps.
It's also intended for short term only, not going to stay.
With anything new, people need to spend some money to learn, more income for ps.

In the end, it's just the same as al other variants: find the game(s) you like and that are most profitable for you.

Well of course its more money for pokerstars, and I havent thought that even if you split the pot you still end up losing rake. But isnt it more low on variance? I mean in regular poker someone may be lucky and suck out on you in the stupidest donkey all ins, but since its two community boards you at least can split it or take it all? Personally I would love to see that in tournaments. I think its kinda like running twice isnt it?

- live, we play such variations ... omaha h / l for 5 cards, holdem 5 cards - two flops

certainly interesting!

..... things are happening, things are unbelief :)

I think clever way to make players belive they can more chance to wwin. But the truth is no one can win on this type of poker. The hands will result 90% split and the rake is eating.

Honestly, I have not tried it yet, but I think I do not like it. My favorite game remains NL Holdem.

I played and I do not like this type of poker game, I prefer conventional hold'em or to play Omaha, but I saw that many people like to play and they play, but everyone has their own choice for the game!
