I'll have 251,000 points in the FTP Store and need to spend them. I'm looking at a couple things but was interested maybe in getting this:

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Sony-BRAVIA-500-40-Inch-Black/dp/B0035ER1I2/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1289505981&sr=1-1"]Amazon.com: Sony BRAVIA EX 500 Series 40-Inch LCD TV, Black: Electronics[/ame]

It's the 40" LCD Sony Bravia 1080p. I'm actually thinking of using this beast as a computer monitor over my 24" samsung (which is super nice btw). It might be too big though being only 2-2.5 feet away from where I sit. Also not sure how it rates for playing video games.

I also have 11k points at the pokerstars VIP store. Suggestions? I wanted to get a money clip and can't find one.

Well I know you're a techie and expect you to know that monitor size is generally secondary to resolution. It's going to look like crap sitting within like 7 feet of it with only 1080p res. If you're using it as a secondary screen to play games on from further away then sure, it could be nice. As your primary it's just going to be a pain (I have a 1080p 42" Bravia that I use with my media PC and having to use my corded mouse/keyboard with it when my wireless die is like the most tilting thing ever).

If you're looking at monitors why don't you do a points swap with someone for the 30"? ie buy the points on 2p2's marketplace to get someone to purchase it for you, then sell your points to someone else in return to refund some of the cost?

Haven't used PS points in ages, can't help you there. I do know they don't carry the M-clip anymore though.

Ya impulse post. Was thinking of getting the 40" Bravia then selling it on Craigslist or EBay then using that money to buy a sick 30" monitor. I don't know much about swapping or buying points and it seems now would be the time that all shady 2p2ers are Trying their scams eh?

Ya I suppose so. It would take a bit of research to find the +ev, reputable sellers which is a bit of a pain.

Not to mention I bet there are a lot of people right now that are trying to get rid of their points as well, so you might run into a bunch of outside US players trying to pick up added value because of this. I haven't checked 2p2's marketplace lately, but I would only assume.

I wouldn't get the TV to resell. They don't bring but about $500 on eBay and it'll be a bitch to ship. The Canon camera in the FTP store is fewer points, smaller so it ships easier, and routinely sells on eBay for $550 - $600.

In the FTP answers thread : http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28/internet-poker/ftp-answers-4-21-a-1024944/

FTPDoug says:
4. as for fulltilt points and medals, either some kind of way to convert to cash if we are forced to cashout or a promise to preserve the current value of the points in our account until the day US players are allowed again.

- One of those two options is nearly certain to be the way it will go.

So there may be some hope of getting cash for your points.

Hopefully converting to $$$ as I'd rather have it in my account than sitting untouchable for years...

Any confirmations on turning in Iron Man points for FTP Points?
Any confirmations that the FTP Store is taking orders right now?

FTP took and confirmed my order for 3 decks of cards. Figured the points were gone if I didn't spend them. No big loss if they never show up.

I did read they were converting t$ and tickets to real$ and refunding them so you may want to consider converting medals and ftp to tickets for their cash value

PS rejected my fpp order with the message kmixer posted.

Are you even allowed to see your IronMan page? When I go to My Promotions, I get:
Coming soon – your personal promotions page.
This page is designed to provide you with all of the information you need to track your progress in various promotions at Full Tilt Poker.
I have a ton of medals too, too bad...

Edit: I'm also now getting this when I try to go to the regular store... I should have acted faster.
