It was a freeroll I was using to kill some time while I was playing in another tourney. I sometimes do that to keep off boredom when I don't feel like multi-tabling. Playing a freeroll gives me something else to do.

Why do they sit out when they are up? I can understand no shows or getting mad and leaving but why when they are ahead? Had that the last time I was at Tropical. Player up like 3 times the starting stack and sat out and never came back.

They don't want to lose their chips... and think they will make the $$ by doing it
