I thought I'd start this thread to share something I've noticed about a poker site that you may or may not realize; that being the fact that bodog gives points credit for playing their freerolls. It doesn't take much time to roll up enough points to play in additional "points only" buy in tournaments. My favorite of these is the nightly $500 30 point buy-in, that usually has about 1200 to 1500 entrants as compared to the 4000 to 5000 entrants in the freerolls. There are others with very attractive prize pools that range from 100 points on up, so if you are more inclined to "save up" you'll find many chances to get some sigificant winning opportunities.:)

Finally, if you have any similar insights, realizations, or gems of wisdom regarding various poker sites, I'd like to hear about them!

As far as I can tell, the FTP points aren't worth the powder to blow them up.

You can use them for satellite entry, right?

problem is that you cant use them for say an immediate entry into a tourney.

you buy your way into a sat which takes you into another sat unless you have mega points and just enter say a 5000 pt sat which then takes you to a money game.

not too fond of their points system anyway.
