I want to move away from Stars. It is as simple as that. Reason for this is the notorious toughness that players from that site have. There is just simply not enough fish to exploit there. Big massive drought in that respect. I now hope to play on a site with weaker opponents.

What would you guys recommend?

Your right. I feel like pokerstars is the toughest room on the net. You should try FullTilt, 888, or Party. Any room should be at least a better result if your a tournament player.

Depends on a lot of things.

What game(s) do you play?

What stake(s) do you play?

US or ROW player?

etc....

I usually play $3.50 9 man SnG's, with a couple of 45 man and $2.50 180 man tournies on the side. I also like to play 10/20c limit holdem cash games.

I live in the UK.

how i wish i was in your shoes. im in usa and cannot play stars anymore. i play live alot so i see the players im about to sit with, and can watch the action before getting in a game. if you take proper notes on players at the limits you are playing you should be able to find games you can beat.if you dont take player notes then i would say your lack of effort is the problem not the site.

sorry bud, but bovada is a terrible site compared to what non-US residents can play on.

I play LHE also... a tad bit higher stakes but nice to see a fellow limit donk :)

You won't find much action in 180 mans outside of stars/ftp really. SNGs of those stakes run regularly at most networks (not sure how many tables at a time you play).

0.10/0.20 LHE runs at most networks also.

Do NOT try Bet Online, probably the worst site overall.

Bovada is definitely soft, the issue is that this person is from the UK. Bovada is only canada/USA players. The greater bodog Network also pulled out of the European online poker Market. He couldn't play on Bodog right now.

I'd disagree with that. Bovada is soft not only compared to the US market but the world market as well.

opinion

as a similar sort of player (semi-retired now!), to make some decent cash at the lower levels you need to take advantage of every decent promotion you can, so would recommend setting up accounts (with rb etc) with multiple sites looking for best affiliates for each:

Party have the biggest fish, but high fees
888 only site to rival the Party pond
Merge network (carbon best?) probably best site for fish without extortionate rake (+ rb deals)
Cake network pretty fishy also (+ rb deals)

Many sites, eg FT/ Titan/ PKR/ Poker770/ unibet/stan james/ 32red have decent promos that can make you more than playing

eg Probably 40 microgaming sites (many give free cash)- sign up for one every 6 weeks for access to €500 freeroll (plus €500 added €1.10) every weds for next 5 years!

Bovada is one of the best. Good tourneys and they do have Cardschat tourneys there, too.

I hate to break it to you but the most fish are BY FAR on stars/tilt if you must change though bovada is where to go, those anon tables make people play bonkers.
