Come ON already. Black Friday was a long time ago. This DoJ bullshit can't go on forever; they've gotta let this shit go SOME TIME. All I really have to play on is Merge, and they're getting rid of their P2P transfer soon, which is gonna make it next to impossible to reload if something goes wrong. What happened to the U.S getting its own government-regulated site for poker and gambling?

Seriously, when is the U.S going to catch a ****ing BREAK for online poker?

You already know the answer to that question. No - they are not accepting US players. And there is no plan to do so.

It will still likely be years before US players can play online in most states- but nobody knows because nothing has happened to move it along. Some of us may never get to play - will likely depend on the state you are in when something finally does happen.

Yep, exactly what dakota said. Try living in WA state and it's a felony (been that way for years) to play online. It stinks. Until the politicians can get a piece of the action, it won't happen imo.

pokerstars and Full Tilt may come back to the US market very soon. Nevada has legalized online poker and poker sites are applying for licenses now.

But nothing has changed regarding all of the federal issues - so nothing is happening any time soon. Full Tilt and Pokerstars will never again enter the US market without the approval of the federal government.

expect it to be taxed, and don't expect it to be too profitable for the players either, I hope I'm wrong but I don't see anything happening anytime soon.

Would be pretty surprised if it was taxed.

if it's going to be allowed back into the U.S. again, it's the only way I see our government doing it, but like I said, I hope I'm wrong.

Oh sorry - you are right - I totally misunderstood what you said. It will definitely be taxed.

FTP has just re-launched for ROW players. That alone has taken years. Since FTP is owned by PokerStars there will be no move by one without the other. The DoJ has made it so incredibly difficult on the online industry that from a business standpoint it's just not feasible to bother trying to get back to the US market at this time.

The issue is not the legality of online poker, it's the moving of the money to and from the sites. If Nevada has legalized anything, it's for the possibility of their own in-state sites, not to make way for the giants of the industry to come back to their state and take potential $$$ from their B$M casinos and put it online to another business.
