So, instead of perhaps making their support suck less and stuff, UB decides to...

I hear they are thinking about adding another feature called the nuts where some of their more charismatic players show their dancing skills and throw playing cards at bunny girls with vegetables in their hands, i cant wait.

So you had that email too, Chris ?

I thought it was marginally less entertaining than my usual inbox clutter of viagra ads and dating site offers. :(

Either way, we're not gonna see Hellmuth showing his dancing skills and throwing playing cards at bunny girls with vegetables in their hands, which is a shame.

Guide to Paper, Scissors Stone

1 - Players usually lead off with either Scissors or Stone, making stone the best choice to go with first (as you'll blunt scissors or tie with stone).

2 - Sub-consciously, players tend to copy your last move, so stay one step ahead by choosing scissors if you chose paper last, stone if you chose scissors and scissors if you chose paper.

3 - Note taking is crucial - do they tend to mix it up or stick to their favourites? Do they always change choice from last go, or often choose the same 2-3 times in a row?

4 - Mix up your own play - randomise the speed of your response etc.

5 - Yes, i'm taking the piss.

Just won a match 5-4 ROSHAMBO CHAMP OF THE WRLD!(LMAO). Obviously somebody's idea of a joke. Neat craphics, rocks whizzing about, paper gets sliced right down the middle, etc. No sound FX, though(hiss, boo). If I ever get bored enough to try it again, somebody kick me squarely in the sitter, Please?

To make RPS an actual interesting game all you have to do is assign disparate point values to the wins with different objects.

For example, if you win with rock it's worth 5, with scissors 3, with paper 1.

Then race to predetermined number.

This is game theory boiled down into its purest form.

See [old link~tb] article on how most video fight games are based on Roshambo.

Umm, I kinda think, having seen it in action, it would take more'n that to make it interesting. Mebbe it Nitram and Estelle circled the table carrying scoreboards, ya know, kinda like the round boards at fights.

I see the point , but isn't that a little like American league baseball; ya know, messing with the integrity of the grand ole game of Roshambo.
