I was amite concerned, because my norton security popped up and recommended that I block it. However, since I wanted to try it out - I let it through. Im not very computer literate, in fact I have been called a computer durfus:eek: therefore I dont know wheather is was good choice or a bad choice.

However I totally love the site:D to be honest - I just LOVE all the free roll tourneys! Its a ton of fun!:D But it keeps crashing on me? I was down to the last 33 people in a Knock Out tourney, had the premo hand and my full tilt poker Game crashed! I was spewing:mad:

It crashes alot, and Im not sure what causes this? Oh and another thing - I had been playin the games for like 3 hours and came across so many abusive people, I was seriously shocked! Well ok, maybe not so much abusive but really nasty, and I mean 'personal' nasty. And I had done nothing to deserve this, well other than wiping them out, but thats seriously not fault - just the luck of the draw. Talk about sore loosers.

This is before I discovered the freeroll tourneys, they're fun - hardly anyone talks but hey:D

Just curious, whats everyone elses personal takes on Full Tilt Poker :p

I've noticed FT is a memory hog. I know you said you were not very computer savy, but do you know how much RAM your machine has?

If your machine is older, say a couple of years, you may continue to have problems. Try not to have a lot of other applications running when you play.

just my 2 cents.

Just checked out how much memory my computer has

and apparently its 520 mbs. I was just wondering, would it matter that I also have poker stars running, and trade me and google and a few applications all on? lol!

To be honest, I didnt think it would really matter (or effect it) till you guys pointed it out:joyman:

Ooops! lol:p

Don't worry at all about Norton, Full Tilt is very safe. Once you've made it past a firewall, you should not be thrown off. At least McAfee doesn't to that. :p Assuming you are not on dial-up (that would be a problem), FT has occasional issues, but it's been running like clockwork for months, at least for me. I have double your RAM (1 gig), and my computer is 5 years old - but 500MB should be fine. Try to troubleshoot. Reboot, or close other applications and see if that works. As far as the idiots, get used to it. Trash-talk 'em right back with a smile and a 'lol'.

Actually I always play on dial-up (I live in the woods) and I have no problem playing 8-10 tables because the actual data transfer is very small. FT can be a bit of a memory hog though and running both FT and Stars at the same time with only 512Mb RAM is likely the OPs problem.

Pokerstars is more stable... i have a lot of connection problems with full tilt too.. and when the server is down, it takes hours for them to get it up and running again. Besides that, the site is GREAT!

Full Tilt runs fine for me. My computer is almost 5 years old. I almost always have PS running at the same time. Also I run Poker Copilot at the same time. Never had any problems with FT or PS.

I've been on Full Tilt now for over a month with no problems and just started back on Poker Stars after being away for over 2 years. At this point Poker Stars seems to still be a great site, but leaning towards Full Tilt.

Having 5-6 App's open on .5GB is not a great idea even if they weren't poker sites. If you want to be a multi-tasker you have to bump up your RAM. I ALWAYS MAX my computers ( Windows ) memory to give stuff room to roll. Ram is cheap!!
And if you use Norton with short memory, you are asking for delays, drops.....etc.
Now 2009 internet services from Norton is better than ever before about staying out of the way. Especially if you utilize the INSIGHT function!! I play on all the sites and they all seem to work with memory. Server problems are not your problem, but theirs.
Now if you want to discuss which sites I RUN BETTER ON... that's a different subject. Let's just say Pokerstars isn't my most fertile environment!
