Hey guys

I was wonderin to create a new poker acc. somewhere. I've got a FTP acc. and a CDpoker acc. (both are not bad) ... but I find out that I would appreciate more some poker site where there is more freeroll action goin on.
Especially some smaller ones (not talking that much about private freerolls here) - I mean I've heard of pokerstars or even the FTP is not that bad, but for me 2700 players seems just too much:) (whose got that kind of time to stay round 4 hours and then end up just below the payout, got cracked by some jackass with nothin on the river).;)
It may seem as a stupid question, but if someone knew a pokersite where they hold smaller (like 500 or even 200 pls.)freerolls just to enjoy the magic of "nonslaughterhouse" poker a few times a week just post some.
Whats your opinion? (I heard that carbon seems pretty good...)

A freeroll is a freeroll by any name, on any site. A smaller site and field will likely have NO bearing on the quality of play.

Smaller sites also tend to have less offerings. They will often have withdrawal requirements for freeroll winnings as well. Most will require playing raked hands in ring games at specified levels in order to clear 'tournament' winnings, just like clearing 'bonus' dollars.

'Freerolls' - because they are 'free' attract a lot of players. No getting away from it. No 'get rich quick' freerolls online either. GL ... ;)

I saw a site that listed all the freerolls. I think I have it on another computer. My merry christmass puter has limited links going to have to figure how to transfer them. I am just a breakeven player at the ring games made most of my bank roll in freerolls so keep looking.

OK thats what i was thinking actually. to find a site where its more about poker and not luck. less players = smaller freerolls = smaller payouts.I know;)

Well if they're called freerolls it's cuzz they are free and believe me finding a 200 player freeroll NOT full would be hard!! cuzz does on FT of 2700 players get filled up in less than a minutee :S sooo i guess there are no small freerolls on any site and if they are it's cuzz that site doesn't really have that much playerss but hey if somebody finds one i want to know too XD

there is a mag i get at local casino and they advertise spade club. You pay a monthly fee and all tourneys are covered. My bank roll is to small for that kind of abuse but if you have a monthly budget it might fit.

Yeah, it's offered through Card Player Magazine (think bluff magazine has something similar) and costs $149.00 per year. I haven't checked it out enough to know if it's worth it or not. Anyone here belong?

WPT.com has some freerolls and blackjack Elimination tourneys for "free" members and there are tourneys for members where your buy-in is in Tourney Points, whatever those are. Membership is $19.95 per month. Noticed you also get a subscription to Bluff magazine so perhaps this is the same deal as otherwise offered by that magazine. Anybody here belong?

Some of the Cake Poker freerolls have smaller enrollment than FT, UB, AP, PS and Carbon, but none pay out in the initial FR, but are satellites to weekly freerolls, some of which pay and some of which are, in turn, satellites to bigger freerolls. If you've got the time and patience, they can pay out. I cashed $26.00 in one and $20.00 in another last Saturday. Small payouts, granted, but light years ahead of my cashes (so far :) ) at UB, AP and FT freerolls.

Start listening to rounders radio on the web. They have a lot of freerolls on several sites. And the music is good to with commentaries from a lot of pro's

Golden Poker has a daily $200 freeroll @ 1:00pm Mountain time. The max is only 1600 people and the top 200 payout (minimally, but what the hell, its a freeroll!!) Plus the play is mostly foreigners, pretty easy to get into money......sorry if your from Bulgaria or Slovenia and are reading this LOL. Check it out, just don't tell too many people, I want to win!!

i think what you are thinking if is a dream of most online poker players. everyone hates losing in a freeroll to some idiot shoving in with rags. i know you said you don't like private tourneys much, but they really are the best bet. from what i've seen, they have the biggest payout structure, and not as many players, and the play isn't half bad after a couple rounds of blinds. i just started getting into the private freerolls, and i like them much better than the public ones.

i think pitbull poker has alot of small freerolls frequently with about 500 people, but i would stay at full tilt and join some forums, theres a lot of private freerolls there.

Yeah, and based on my experience with Pitbull, you're just as likely to entirely lose the table (Flash interface) as you are to actually finish the game. Went there for the "free" $10.00. Figure I'll let them keep it.

I second imasquare, pitbull has small freerolls, and the play isnt too bad, plus they are every hour. I have placed in several. They also have a 10 no deposit bonus, and lots of small low limit touraments with guaranteed payouts.

If you want small freerolls another way to go is private freerolls. Cardschat f.eks. or a bunch of other forums and networks host5ing private tournaments.

for Non-US players if you find the right affiliate on iPoker you can get a daily free roll ranging from $100 to $600 prize pool with only around 200-300 players.

another great option is to just open up the private tournaments tab and scroll down until you see a freeroll. open it up and look for a website, then go register there and you can usually get the password from that. the great thing about those freerolls is there is usually only a couple hundred people in them.

The iron level ironman freerolls on FTP only have a few hundred participants for a $30000 prize pool. Can't really get any better when it comes to freerolls, imo.

Try Paddy Power, I racked up a BR fast there with no deposit, they have a ton of 'beginner' FRs for your first month of membership.

Another possibility is the microgaming network. they host 7 $100 dollar freerolls every day, and if You get an account with unibet they even host 3 Euro 100 torunaments and 1 Euro 200 every day. usally theres a lot of participants but top 260 is paid, and you can play $0,10 sit n gos on the network so there is a possibillity to build a bankroll. Might go very slow, but its possible
