The tournament play on the sites I frequent, carbon, americanscardroom mostly is so slow it's painful. Are there any sites that take US players that have faster play? 12-15 seconds plus a time bank to make a decision is ridiculous. I've almost given up online playing. 5-8 seconds is plenty of time. I know people play multiple games, but if each game was faster they wouldn't need to play 6 games to keep their attention or get through a tournament in a reasonable time.

Yep, poker is partly a game of pacience. Get yourself together, or you might have problems later in the game.

I have to jump on the wagon here. If 15 seconds is an unbearably long time to you, poker is not the kind of game you want to be playing. Decisions very often will take longer than 5 seconds to make, if you want to try to make the correct decision that is. Impulsive play can absolutely be had in less time, but will almost assuredly land you in the poor-house. I know there are plenty of amateurs and professionals out there who multi-table to the extreme, but in my experience, you can make more per hour sitting at one table and paying close attention than you can make at 6 tables playing like a robot. Take that fifteen seconds to think about what they might be thinking about, it's good exercise.

The time jockeys are what make it bad. People who time down every turn and fold because they are completely bereft of poker skill.
