I'm currently playing on a poker site that offers a nice VIP system with rakeback :). It's a site that solely runs with bitcoins though, but I saw there are other poker rooms that say they offer rakeback as well... Now I wonder if that is really true though, and not just a promotion stunt... For example I saw that PKR.com and "Red Star Casino" say they offer a 30% rakeback to their players... On the site where I'm playing I reached a new VIP status, now having a rakeback of 20% and I have to say it's a nice bonus you really feel... I had a day I almost got 15$ from the rakeback...

Sites that have a license in my country don't offer really rakeback, maybe some vip system on pokerstars for example, but which such a great playerbase I doubt they will give you a great rakeback... On top of that you have the more competition (from what I've heard) on a site like PS so for me it seems really worth it if those offers of those example sites I gave here, are true...
Maybe it's just a promotion stunt though where their original rake is already higher than normal... Does anyone know more about those offers, or you play on one of those sites? Is it real?

Thanks

There are very few sites that offer actual rakeback these days, most have VIP schemes.
I play at betfair and get 30% rakeback plus they have a monthly rake race, but I am not sure if they offer rakeback to new players, I have been playing there for years, but it might be worth looking into?

Hi, I was looking at some different poker providers before when I was looking for freerolls... I looked at Betfair and it seems their VIP system purely relies on how much you play there and earn status points :) The site i'm playing you just collect status points and after a while you get updated to a higher class. The highest is 50% rakeback for poker, but to reach that you have to play maybe a 100 years 12 hours a day lol... I'll stick with my own poker room for now, there are some other important factors as well to consider... Betfair is even banned in my country, alonger with all other pokersites except Pokerstars-Bwin-unibet- an a few crappy sites... It's also the biggest reason probably why they don't offer nice rakebacks, cuz they're already sucked out for taxes by our local government, LOL...

Almost all sites have VIP schemes, very few have Rakeback. They are 2 completely different types of rewards.
Years ago most sites offered Rakeback but these days I repeat, very few offer proper Rakeback. VIP schemes i.e poker stars etc are not Rakeback.
Rakeback offers far more to players than a VIP scheme which is the reason why it is rare these days. Full Tilt, william hill etc all offered Rakeback, not sure but I think even PS did, but not any more.

Does PokerStars offer rackbacks? If so how would I be able to sign up to receive it?

I think you need to have a rake back bonus code as you're signing up.

Hello. On their own experience, it is checked that in the poker room Stan James under certain conditions pay from 10 to 30 percent of rakeback. More details you can read on the official website. The offer intersects with their VIP system, but ... it's quite easy to fulfill their requirements.

Pokerstars is removing their rakeback system completely.
