i know with fulltilt and bodog i was able to deposit money from my CC because they must have some loophole but on pokerstars i had to resort to buying a visa gift card. anyway, do banks ever refuse to cash out the checks that "gaming" sites send out? i havent had the pleasure of doing so yet, but im just curious about everyones experiences

I've not heard anything yet of a bank refusing to cash a check from a poker site. But typically, checks from poker sites don't broadcast what the are. In general it looks just like your average corporate check of sorts (without the site name either).

I generally use ePassporte to cash out; it works very well. In fact, it's much easier than depositing thru them. I have heard horror stories about cashing out of UB, but I've done so twqice with epass, and both times had my money within 12 hours.

PokerStars is good with Payouts so far from my experince...I heard BOdog has Gone Downhill in terms of Payouts now that Western Union is not a Payout option anymore..

I was playing on Full Tilt with someone last night who said they had just switched from Bodog because of a check bouncing. Apparently they had some legit reason for the check bouncing but he was upset because they wouldn't fedex him a check and it put his bank account in the red. Cashing out though, you really shouldn't have any problems with a check from Stars or Tilt.

Kind of off topic: Playing live the other night, 2 people at my table who both bank at First Bank said that their debit cards still work to deposit on Full Tilt. I thought that was pretty interesting.

I've cashed 2 checks from PS and never had a problem. As JD said they look like regular corporate checks and they don't bear any PS logo on them. The second one I cashed was actually a Wachovia bank check for $700. Had no trouble at all with it.

Yes, bodog checks take quite awhile to arrive, sometimes longer than a month, but they do eventually come. Ive receieved 3 checks from them and have 2 more on the way.
