Hello.

I am looking to deposit at a new site and would welcome recommendations.
I currently play at FTP and Cake, but am planning to withdraw from Cake and join an alternative secondary site.

My main problem with Cake is the slow software and light traffic, especially for SnGs.

Good fast software is a must, as is a reasonable level of traffic at micro limit cash and SnGs.

Wobble - the recommendations from the site reviews on CC would indicate Titan, certainly for SNG's. I'm thinking of depositing there and there is also a monthly $1k freeroll for CC members which is an added incentive.

Shop around. The big advantage of not living in the states is there are a lot more poker sites and affiliates competing for your money. This means you can get much better rakeback deals.

I would suggest Titan or one of the sister ipoker sites. Second choice would be one of the Ongame sites, possibly Redkings.

Both of these networks have high traffic and run their main daily tournies at UK-friendly times.

I've read this from you before.... but I still don't see the 'high traffic' on Titan in MTT or SNG. What time of day are we talking about (I've tried very late at night (00:00 > 03:00), afternoon (15:00 - 20:00) and I just don't see it. The $25 mtts get ~120 players in them & for $5 & $10 sng's I'm waiting every single time. (on Fulltilt I can sign up for 4 sngs and have them all start within a couple of minutes).

Personally I don't like Titan much but others seem to really like it. I force myself to play on there but it's way down on my list. Maybe a better example is >>> Titan is a site I'm looking at taking $'s off of & move it to another site (to be rolled for higher buyin level). If I hadn't been spoiled by other sites first, perhaps I'd be okay with it.

I notice Titan doesn't have rakeback, does their points system make up for this?

I am thinking about pokerstars, mainly because of their low rake for micro limits. This should more than compensate for the lack of rakeback.

Titan (or rather, the Ipoker network) is the third largest site in the world after Stars and FT. The main evening MTTs usually have around 1000 to 2000 entrants. That would be evening UK time, ie. around 2-4pm Eastern.

In fairness, it`s a slightly distant third, not usually more than half as many players as FT.

I have played 2NL/5NL on Titan and on Stars and I can tell you the rake is far less on Stars. Titans software was recently upgraded so its not as slow as it used to be. But at the end of the day the rake is higher and you get no rakeback....

I'm from the Uk and clearing a bonus on Stars..but after that ill be in the same boat as you. Seeking a room with fast software, rakeback and decent traffic.

Ladbrokes Poker is my fave UK site.
The SnG traffic is pretty heavy throughout the day, buy in;s from £1 up to £100 (above that take a good while to fill!) and they run some great variations for letting off steam, like all-in-or-fold games ($2 buy in, 1 chip each) and 'Both End' games (8 players, $5 each. First player to go busto wins $20, tourney winner takes the other $20).
The cash tables are good on there, nice mix of newbie's and pro's higher up.
The MTT games are second to none. Daily guarantees with small/medium fields mean its a great place to practice for the Big Sunday games on Tilt and Stars if thats what your into.
A decent rewards system, some good 'player points only' freerolls with great cash prizes and satellites to all the major events, plus the annual £250,000 Ladbrokes Poker Cruise and the LEOCOP events make this a WINNER!
