If i am in the small blind and everybody folds to me, and the big blind is sitting out, then i can "steal" the blind.
But it´s different at pokerstars and Full Tilt !
On Full Tilt you have to raise to win this blind. On Stars a call is enough to "steal" the blind !
Why ?!

i think because they already put there chips in to see the flop..full tilt is right the other 2 sites are wrong..although they are sitting out they still payed for the flop..unless you raise

On pokerstars if you sit out you auto-fold every hand regardless

on FullTilt they let the hand play out as if you had gone away from the table for a minute and if you dont get raised you can still win the hand

on stars they will just fold you and you cant win the hand

hope this helps

I like Stars version better. That way I don't get my poket Ace open shove beat by the sitter who has me covered like what happens on Full Tilt..

Umm this is impossible unless you have less than 1 BB and the sitter is the BB, in which case, shove sooner.

A big difference at Full Tilt is that you can't see if a player is sitting out. You have to be observant. Then if he does show up, you can't tell. Then, when you raise thinking he is sitting out, he can reraise. I wish FT would change the software to show "sitting out" status.

Lol, this. How could you let your stack get covered by a sitout? lmao

OK. You guys got me. I played a freeroll and this happened after a bad beat nearly felted me and I was down to less than 1 BB and shoved. Blinds were already 1K -2k. Sitter has some garbage hand, but ATC, right?
Anyway, it was a freeroll so no big deal but still sux to get beat by a sitter.

If you want to see if someone is sitting out on Full Tilt, click the last hand button in the top left corner and it shows who is sitting out and who isn't.
