I have not been having a lot of good sessions at PS lately and if I move most of what I have there over to FTP I could move up a level or play very comfortably at my current level. So should I do this?

I would only do it if you think you would mostly play at FTP and not play too much at all over at PS because you never know if it goes reverse and you have bad sessions at FTP and good at PS

Have you seen Office Space? This reminds me of the guy sitting in traffic at the beginning of the movie, getting frustrated seeing the next lane moving faster and changing lanes, only to have that lane slow down and his original lane speed up. Then he changes again and then the other lane speeds up... etc.

Really it's a toss up as far as game selection and competition between the two sites, so without rakeback at FTP there's no compelling reason to move.

+1 million

no RB at FTP means u dont play their. no matter how good u are u really cant beat the rake at least not very profitably and i would personally suggest sticking out pstars and their fabolous VPP stellar rewards program.

i moved my money to pstars from FTP at the beginning of the year..ive quadruppled my beginning roll...started with 100 now barely at 400 and i cant say its because im crushing 10NL either...actually looking at HEM it says i have lost money LOL anyways point being that i dont think the competition will be any different at FTP if anything maybe harder because they dont allow the shitty shortstacks like pstars does. im on a bad run myself, check out the april chat thread to see me get my ass handed to me by the rigged pstars site

Move it it you want. It's your money. Do what makes you happy.

I don't advise you to move it because you have had bad sessions though. Bad sessions are not site specific.

Icy....

I went ahead and tried with RTR but this note did appear after I sent in my request

A poker room will never retag an account to RTR if it is already tracked to another affiliate. If you are already tracking to another affiliate it will normally have occurred as a result of a cookie being placed on your computer (as a result of clicking a banner/advert for that poker room many months in advance). The affiliate you are already tagged to is almost certainly NOT a rakeback affiliate.

I am pretty sure this is the case fo rme but will give it a try anyway.
I wonder if they don;t allow it I email supprt at FTP and tell them I will transfer my money if they don;t allow it. Has anyone gotten this work? Doesnt seem right that a person would be a loyal customer and not be able to get RB because they didn;t know all the details when they signed up. Esepcially if the affiliate they signed up with doesnt provide anything for them.

I really thought of moving it to make my FTP bankroll higher so that I can play at the next level. I could also move it to PS from FTP. Wasn;t mioving it cause of the bad sessions per se. Not the driving factor but it is not helping either ;)

I would say don't move it. I seem to have good runs at one site, then when it turns I switch to the other, and back and forth. Plus, without rakeback on FT you really shouldn't. My luck has seemed to turn on PS lately, but im about to clear a Stellar Reward after that most likely its back to Full Tilt.

I would take all your money offline and start playing in a real casino. All online poker is a joke and not truly "random" no matter how "fair" they claim there site and RNG to be. At least then you can look your villian in the face and possibly slash his tires in the parking lot later if you get handed some bad beats. (J/K I would not really suggest doing this) Otherwise, if you insist on playing online, I would personally play on PS over FTP any day. Bad beats are gonna happen and BR swings are unavoidable but FTP's river is overflowing with crap.

A guy I know played a lot in PS but after a lot of loss he decided to play tourneys in FTP. He reached 2nd place and won about 2000 bucks yesterday.
So he made it.

I would also change. PS is one of the best, but its RNG is the weirdest. That's why I play in PS very rare.

But you could play in FT without moving big money to anywhere and if you feel that FT is better, change. :)

If I were you, I'd play comfortably at your current level, knowing that you can transfer $$$ from one account to another if your roll continues to slide. For BRM purposes, you're playing with the total of both accounts as long as you are willing to move the $$$ around.

However, transferring $$$ to move up when you are running (playing?) bad might be a bad decision. It's certainly one that you shouldn't undertake lightly.

Contact Full Tilt and see if they'll put you on Rakeback - say you'll be playing there a lot, lots of rake, you won't switch otherwise, etc etc

If it works and they give it to you, switch, otherwise, I'd say no :)

Contacting a RB site instead to deal with FTP is always easier and better.

RakebackPros.com is the only outfit that can get you rakeback on an existing account at Full Tilt. You must sign up there. I bugged both RakebackPros and Full Tilt, and finally got it after the 4th email to Full Tilt.

Not true at all, there are MANY other RB sites that can and do get RB for existing accounts just like I suggested.

YA dont move it unless rakeback is with you. Just not a smart move. Unless you rock in full tilt but both sites will suck you dry

RTR wrote me back and said that FTP said no go. I am also going to try and retag through UB and see if that works. They stated that it would be ok for a family member to sign up through their Link for FTP and they will be able to get it for them. Might be time to convince my wife to get a FTP account.

I know there are plenty of rakeback sites for other rooms, however here is an email from Full Tilt. Although it says "preferred", I thought I read somewhere else that it is the "only". I could be wrong, but if you are begging for rakeback, I think it would be a good idea to go with their preferred affiliate.

Hello Thomas,

Thanks for getting in contact with us about rakeback.

Although full tilt poker does not offer rakeback directly to players, our preferred affiliate partner RakeBackPros.com offers rakeback to players who sign up through their website with Full Tilt Poker.

We’ve sent your player details to RakeBackPros.com and they will be in direct contact with you.

If there's anything else we can help you with, please let us know. We're always here to help.

Regards,

Isidoro
