This may also apply to other skins in this network but Carbon is the only one I play on.

Why in the world does Carbon display what hand you currently hold. I can see this in the play money games but when playing for cash I do not want the fish to have the extra advantage of having the software tell them that they have a big or small hand.

Anyone else have issue with this?

Right there on the table it tells you that you have two pair, a flush, a straight. It says what your hand is. For people that may have a hard time reading their hands (especially at Omaha) I certainly don't want them to have this help.

I screen capped it for you on a play money table but I am seeing this on real money games as well.

As long as I find enough opponents ready to stack off with 2nd pair or TPWK I don't mind.

But I can see what you're pointing at - someone playing real money should be able to know what his hand is.

We win form having edges. If these people have to read the hand themselves they add an edge for themselves.

It might not be as big of a deal in HE but for Omaha it matters a lot.

Pretty much every poker room I've every played at has this option (and I've probably played at 30+ over the past 6 years).

They also generally have an option to turn it on or off.

At Full Tilt and pokerstars you can turn this option on or off? Can you post a screen shot or directions for where this option is? How about for Absolute Poker or Ultimate Bet?

I have never seen this option for any of the four mentioned rooms.

I am talking about real money games here not play chips

Thanks

Pretty sure if they're bad enough that they're needing to rely on this feature, I'd like to think we'd have an edge on them.
Maybe look at it another way, .... it might get some huge fish playing on the tables who might not normally be as comfortable playing on them (maybe??).
Does it let them know if 2pr. beats 3-of-a-kind?

You are dealt Qs 6d, call.
Flop Kd Qh 4s
"You have a pair of queens"

OH SNAP I have a big pair, all in!

Really though, this is nothing to be concerned with at all. TBH I don't even see that hand strength sentence anymore while multitabling.

This. If someone needs this feature, they shouldn't be playing for real money in the first place. Should be easily exploitable.

I like having the feature there for multitabling, take a quick look to see if you overlooked a straight/flush or something, makes decision making faster.

ive never seen this option available either. i do agree that this should not be available. its like when ivey mucked that flush in the main event in 2009. obviously if he had his hand printed on a screen, he would not have mucked.

This is a feature on lots of poker sites. If you do not want to use it you can switch it off. It does not bother me too much.

Good point and a great response to those that are saying you aren't good enough if you need this kind of help. Lots of situations like the Ivey one could happen to the average person heck it happened to one of the best in the world.

Tom if I switch it off for me the others can still use it. I am concerned with a person that doesnt know any better having an extra edge because they played a straight they may have otherwise folded.

Can you tell me where this feature is to turn on and off for Pokerstars and for Absolute Poker. Carbon too. Thanks
