I'm sick of the deposit and withdrawl process on bovada and ran into this site today that takes bitcoin. i'd been thinking recently about emailing bovada in the past telling them how accepting bitcoins could boost there appeal but i assume the regulations are strict and they prefer you dont cash out anyways right? Does Seals with Clubs have decent MTT's or sitngo's? Are there a decent amount of different buy ins on that site? It doesn't seem like alot of people play there and i dont play cash games much. Any info helps, thanks!

Bovada is pretty much the best with cashouts in the US, it seems to be the general consensus...

As for Seals with Clubs, I tried it a couple times but I didn't really like it. gl

Isn't ACR taking bitcoin now too or something? If your looking at the bitcoin route, same as sam1 i tried seals wasn't a big fan and would play the WPN (acr, bcp) before seals and thats saying something as the wpn is yuck lol.

Bovada by far would be the choice for US, also full flush is a newer site on the equity network which seems to have good reviews so far and cc just got involved so signing up through the cc link will get you access to a freeroll that is currently setup to run on mondays through march. can checkout reviews of US sites here:
https://www.cardschat.com/us-poker-sites.php

As you can see bovada is #1 and full flush is comming up behind as #2.

SealswithClubs is certainly an option for real money play if you are in the US, however not the best one. It has a very small player base, and offers very little as far as MTT's go, though it does have a decent HUSNG player base. The community itself is actually pretty cool though, just watching the lobby chat while I play on there is so entertaining/informative, especially if you are interested in the Bitcoin scene.

Since you are having issues with Bovada, why not try BlackChipPoker, same network as ACR but the customer service is 10x better...I've cashed out a few times there in the past few months via Western Union, cash was in my hand within 1 week of requesting the cashout every single time...I even hit a royal flush in video poker on there in January, for $2000 dollars, cashed out $1500 and despite thinking there was no way they were going to let me cash it right out (sites with casinos always have some sort of "playthrough" stipulation all the sudden when you hit big), money was in my hands in 6 days.

Watch out for SWC. They have soft fields but lack security. They consider themselves the wild west of poker.

thanks for the input everyone! i think i'm going to check out American Card Room before i consider SWC. i like bovada, i'm successful playing there and it's fun but my bank wants a fee to cash their checks. i deposited the first one into my girlfriends account with no problem but when we returned on a sunday this time, the manager was not very helpful. she said they would cash it if she had the money to cover it in the account, no problem. then she says because the check was international that i needed to open an account there, i declined. i told her it wasn't a problem with the other employees when we cashed last month and she says that it's up to the employee of the bank to take the responsiblity when cashing those kinds of 2nd party checks. so she could have cashed it but at her discretion decided not to? i didnt feel like arguing so i left i'm just going to go back today.

I decided to download ACR but it wont work on my computer for some reason. the program loads fine and i can see the lobby behind the login window but no matter what i press it doesn't respond. it does highlight the buttons when i scroll over them.. idk why it will not work on windows for me. i have a mac but that shouldn't matter because i have windows and ios. I also went back to the bank with my check and they wouldn't cash it at TCF.. Guess i'll try somewhere else. unfortunately i still have money on bovada so regardless i'm due for one more cash out even if i switch sites. i'm not thrilled.

I have ACR and play at SWC as well..

What I like about seals:

freerolls all day all night. as soon as it's over it starts registering again. Last week I took 1st place in 66th player free roll for that I got 8 swc chips. Which equals roughly maybe 6 USD (not sure so don't quote me on that, because obviously the price of bitcoin effects the value of swc chip).

I've gotten acustomed to the software, so that doesn't really bother me. And they have mobile Apps which actually work pretty good.

There is also another site that I signed up for and also know the owner of the forum. When you sign up for that forum he gives you 500 points in which you can exchange for freeroll register costing 50 points each. So that's 10 free rolls just for signing up for the forum. Those free rolls have less people in them so they pay less but I've taken first and second a few times there which paid like 5 chips.

What I like about AMR... um the fact that they have freerolls going all day.. but as far as the software it's okay but a free roll takes FOREVER with a lot of inactive people sitting at each table.

The software is alright though, but almost too bloated with reward points, poker achievements and other stuff that I don't really get into. Basically I just want to play.

SWC is good you guys should check it out.

and BTW if you were wondering about the other site to get freerolls from you can register it's called BoozeHoundPoker just Google. it.

Oh and the best part about SWC is the instant payout. Other sites make it real painful.

BTC are a volatile unregulated currency, any investment into them is unprotected and you shouldn't be surprised if your BTC networth loses values -even if you win on SWC.
be careful

Bitcoin is volatile by nature yes, that doesn't mean that coin holders will lose a fortune investing in the coin though. Bitcoin games are by far the softest online and with almost instant withdrawals, it is easy to spot when it is going the wrong way with the value, cash out and sell them before losing too much value.

I tried seals with clubs and REALLY REALLY wanted it to be a great place to play but there were not enough players there to even consider playing there for long. THe last time I tried them was around 6 months ago and I haven't been there since.

I have heard great things about Bovada but haven't really taken the plunge yet in terms of depositing. I like some aspects of the site but others have me a little weary. For example, bovada makes all players anonymous and so this allows for the site to reveal all the hands you've played after the tournament is over. This can be great because you can go back and see if your folds, raises, and calls were the right moves. The downside of this is that you are not permitted to use any kind of poker player tracking tool to get stats on players since all players are anonymous.

If seals with clubs was able to increase traffic to their site in some way, I would be there more often. When choosing a poker site to play on, the most important thing you should consider is site traffic. Every other aspect of the site becomes secondary when there is veyr little traffic because that means you will not be able to do what you went there for in the first place: play poker. Bovada has the traffic, Seals with Clubs, unfortunately, does not!!

The rakeback is really important too, there are some bad months which I have won money thanks to rakeback... Why don't you play in different site at the same time? If you like some site but they have problem of traffic, you can play many of them at the same time.
