How hard is it to synchronize software upgrades to not affect tournament play.. last thing people want is to be playing in a tournament for 3 hours and they not be able to finish due to software updates.. This isn't the first time this has happened and I'm sure it will not be the last..

Did they give any warning at all?

poker stars give me a message when I log-In & I have never played while this is happening, so Im not sure if they cancel anything.

They will lose players because of this & they are tring to improve it. Yeah, real smart mob.

Noob question time ... What does "ICM" mean?

No warning at all they shouldn't have tournaments running for 3+ hours when they update it. I contacted CS to ask if the tournament was suspended or cancelled and they said that it was cancelled for an "emergency update" I didn't ask what the emergency was as I doubt they would have that information anyway and they probably would of said what it was if they did or were at liberty to discuss it lol

ICM= Independent Chip Module which assigns $$$ value to tournament chips they credited my account with $6 when I got back on and it was a $2 tournament so I got a $4 profit (wasn't happy about it but whatever) so I assume that they gave me a money value of where my chip count was

EDIT: Just incase any one was wondering what is with the thread title it's from a long time ago found HERE
