I'm 18. The question is would I be allowed to play a satellite for a live event for which you have to be 21+ to play. The intention would be that if you earn the package, you do whatever is it you have to do to get cash or T$ and you don't (since you can't even if you want to) play in the tournament. Will the software permit you to enter the satellite? What do you think?

If you have an account with $$ on it it will permit you to play the online event, however when it comes time to register for the live event you wouldn't be allowed since they would check id's for verification at the live venue..........your best bet in regards to how the online site handles this would be to check with their support so you know for sure how they handle it since all sites may be different in their stand on it.

Yeah, it would definitely not be my intention to try to sneak into the live event illegally. I would simply be playing the satellite to earn money directly, not try to win entry into a bigger event. Obviously, I would have to be playing a satellite that allows unregistration for T$ or cash in the first place, but presuming they did, I see no reason why I couldn't just play the satellite.

In fact, the hypothetical that made me post this was the World Series of Jackpots on America's Cardroom, in which you can win a $12,500 package to the wsop. But the $12,500 comes via an $11,500 deposit to your account plus another $1k upon confirmation that you actually played the ME (I guess this is because they can't register you directly, but they want to incentivize people to actually play the event as opposed to doing what I'm hypothetically thinking about doing, which is just bank the dough and not play the target event). So if I won, I'd just take the $11,500 cash and forfeit the extra $1k. I see no reason why they wouldn't let me. Of course, I'd ask their support to be sure before playing.

Thanks for the answer.

Yeah makes sense especially when that situation is already laid out with those, I'd think most people would be just keeping the funds in those especially if they miraculously hit one from a 3$ game since it would obv be huge money for anyone that has to play 3$ games lol.

Good Luck.

In general, do you know what ACR's policy is with unregistering from events satellited in to? Or even a satellite satellited in from another satellite? I've messaged their support but maybe someone here knows.

And what if you win a main event package not via a jackpot? It doesn't say anything about not playing or the $1k incentive.

I think with most satties on wpn you are not able to unregister if I recall, however if you satty into an tourney and then satty into the same one again you would get T$ for the second entry (unless it has started and you already busted the first entry then I think it would be used as a reentry...but thats a speculation).

If you satty into a live event I think it would depend on their policy, but do they even have any satty's to live events outside of the wsop packages which I think all work similar in that they would deposit the money into your cashier for you to "withdraw and enter the live event".....I don't think they specifically have as you mentioned the ability to directly register you into the event but this is where I'm not completely sure as I had never looked into it......I generally find the acr website pretty good for providing details on these things though.

Edit: There is also this thread where you can ask the ACR Rep who can provide some info or direct you possibly on where to find it.... https://www.cardschat.com/forum/poker-rooms-10/official-acr-thread-217550/
