Hey,

I've recently deposited on pokerstars. They had a 100% deposit bonus up to $25. Not much of a bonus, but stars hardly ever offers them, so I deposited the minimum $25.

After talking to my good friend tenbob, he suggested I play the $1.50 +$.025 18 player S-N-GO'S to clear the bonus. So far in about 2 weeks it is working out nicely as I am about a third of the way to my bonus and I have $65 in my account.

So, when can I move up to the $3.00 and $5.00 tourneys. I'm sure its a bit too early with only $65. I did a search and couldn't find the proper bankroll just for S-N-Go's. What do you guys recommend?

Simple rule of thumb, don't risk more than 5% of your bankroll.

I read somewhere on here(can't find it at the mo) that in order to move up a level in SnG's you need to have 20 times your current buy-in, plus one buy-in for the next level in your bankroll before you move up a level. IE:
20x$2.20 + 1x$3.30 = $47.40 So you play the $2 SnG's till you hit $47.40 then you move up to the $3 ones. But, I play 9 seater ones, so I'm not 100% sure if that applies to the 18seater tables

Sammy, the more I have thought about this for myself the more sense the 5% rule makes. I am going to apply it strictly for awhile & see what effect it has on my bankroll.
