PurePlay Poker - Pureplay.comPurePlay Poker - Jason Kellerman CEO Misleading game play and unfair playing practices.

PurePlay has been around since November 2005 according to the SanFrancisco chronical. The Owner who is not mentioned anywhere else on the Internet is, Jason Kellerman (Ceo and co-founder). The site promotes fair poker play and is the closest thing to real poker. When in fact it utilizes a well know poker software provider and algorythm that promotes bad play and bad habits. In fact it intentially will have anywhere from 2 - 7 very good preflop hands which will have numerous players betting high to promote gameplay. This in itiself is not poker and nothing like real poker play. Anytime a person has no chance of winning when there is a very reasonalbe chance they could win, is fraud, not fair. Pureplay does not accept any accountability when approached with comment in this regard and will simply send a standardized response which in most cases blames the client for any and all issues without giving any proof. When a client does follow up on their suggestions and has further issues with the same problem it is then passed to a psedo manager who will get back to you. This doesn't happen, I have tried now on over five serious issues that they have not responded to as of this date. I have tried to quit now on two occassions. The first I got a quick response stating they would extend my membership to Feb something as I was still on the two free weeks promotion. The second was that I had to call their [LOL link removed ] between the hours of 1:00pm EST and 7:00pm EST. The number does not work from my home and therefore I sent in an email cancelling my account only to have them ignore it and respond with this -

Hello,

The initial charge was merely a 'hold' that is placed on your card. It is not
a real charge. The next (and first real) charge comes two weeks after your
2-week free trial ended, on December 27th.

To cancel your Player’s Club subscription please call 1-800-804-4817. This
number can be reached between the hours of 1pm to 7pm ET Monday to Friday.

Regards,

Stéphane

My card was charged on the 17th of December, well before the 2 weeks promotion date, they extended my account to Feb. ?(They refused to send me the end date of my subscription). This was there way of trying to keep me as a client. I cannot cancel my account as their number does not work, and they refuse to reply to my email for cancellation. To make matters worse the site owners have intentionally used a proxy service so that the ownership and contact information cannot be found. Contact whois at Internic and all you get is this -
Registrant:
Domains by Proxy, Inc.

I'm convinced! Must be true if it's on the internet!
